JAIC Co., Ltd., which develops educational training and recruitment support services for corporations, held its "5th JAIC Premium Networking Event" for management and HR leaders on June 12, 2026 (Fri). On the day, 58 business leaders gathered under the theme of "Organizational Development for Surviving the AI Era," engaging in active information exchange and networking.

What is the "JAIC Premium Networking Event"?

This networking event is held regularly for corporate management and HR leaders as a "small-group networking opportunity" where participants can face their own company's challenges and take away concrete insights, rather than just gathering information. Each event sets a timely and different HR/management theme and consists of two parts: a seminar in the first part and a standing reception in the second part.

5th JAIC Premium Networking Event Report

Soichi Goto and JAIC Director Kondo spoke on the theme of organizational development and reskilling promotion in the AI era.

In the first part, Soichi Goto, Representative Director of the Japan Reskilling Initiative, and JAIC Director Kondo took the stage to give lectures from their respective standpoints on organizational development and reskilling promotion in the AI era. The main contents are as follows:

<Part 1: Seminar> Keynote Speech | The True Reason Why Executives and Organizations Must Reskill in the AI Era (Mr. Goto)

PILLAR 01: Executives and Leaders Must Show Their "Learning Example"

It was explained that what determines the success or failure of large investments such as DX is not the front lines, but the "ability to discern skills" of the leaders making the decisions. Furthermore, it was suggested that engaging in reskilling oneself leads to appropriate delegation of authority and highly accurate investment decisions.

PILLAR 02: Utilize External Talent and "Transfer" Skills

In new business development, conventional OJT does not work. Invite external professionals and "transfer" skills within the company through practical work. The importance of an approach that accelerates transformation by incorporating external knowledge into stagnant organizations was discussed.

PILLAR 03: Create a "System for Continuous Talent Engagement" Through Reassignment

Reskilling is not just training; it is the ultimate "recruitment and retention" weapon. The necessity of building an organization where excellent talent can continue to thrive by establishing a system for fluidly moving personnel to growth businesses was explained.

Soichi Goto

Representative Director, Japan Reskilling Initiative

After graduating from the School of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University, he joined Fuji Bank (now Mizuho Bank) in 1995. He was in charge of sales, marketing, and educational training businesses. In 2002, he founded a startup in New York to foster global human resources, producing approximately 2,000 graduates. After returning to Japan in 2008, he was instrumental in establishing the Japanese branch of the US social entrepreneur support NPO Ashoka, then served as representative of the Japanese branch of a US fintech company and director of the international division of a telecommunications venture, before being responsible for HR DX and recruitment strategy at Accenture. In 2019, he was involved in business development, planning and operation of AI training, and established the Silicon Valley base at AI startup ABEJA. In 2020, based on his experience of "reskilling" himself over 10 years, he co-authored "Reskilling ~Human Resource Strategy in the Digital Age~" and "Reskilling Organizations" at Recruit Works Institute. In 2021, he established the Japan Reskilling Initiative, Japan's first non-profit organization specializing in reskilling. In 2022, he served as a committee member for Hiroshima Prefecture's "Reskilling Promotion Study Council/Subcommittee," a committee member for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Skill Standardization Committee," and a visiting researcher at Recruit Works Institute. He provides policy recommendations to the government and local authorities and supports companies in implementing reskilling. He published the book "Reskilling: Continuously Updating Your Skills" in September 2022.

Lecture | How to Build an Organization Where Reskilling Progresses (JAIC's Kondo)

PILLAR 01: "Unlearning" by Management and Managers

Before acquiring new knowledge, decisively abandon past success formulas through "unlearning." The humility of management acknowledging that they "do not hold the correct answers" and pioneering the unknown together with their subordinates is what breaks down psychological barriers for the front lines.

PILLAR 02: Role Transition: From "Locomotive" to "Shinkansen Type"

Management of the "locomotive type," where one leader pulls everyone, is over. Transition to a "Shinkansen type" organization where all cars are self-propelled. The importance of transitioning to a coaching-style management that draws out intrinsic motivation through questions, graduating from control and supervision, was explained.

PILLAR 03: Reallocate Time Freed Up by AI to "Human Interaction"

To the question of where to invest the time created by AI implementation, the importance of reinvesting in "deep human interaction," which AI cannot replicate, was raised. The concept of improving organizational engagement by reallocating resources was explained.

Hiromitsu Kondo

Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer, JAIC Co., Ltd.

After graduating from university, he joined the company after working at an information systems company. After being responsible for IT strategy business, company-wide management strategy, education business, and recruitment/employment support business, he assumed his current position. From his position of understanding corporate recruitment and development challenges, he supervises the company's corporate training programs and lectures on employee development methods and career formation for employees from young staff to management at general companies, financial institutions, and executive clubs. Recently, he has been featured in numerous interviews with HR media, including "President" magazine (2023) and J-CAST News (2024), on the themes of management leadership and communication skills.

<Part 2: Premium Networking Event>

At the reception following the seminar, active opinion exchange took place among participants on themes such as AI utilization, reskilling promotion, and the nature of human resource development. Participants commented:

"I found hints on overcoming the hurdles of AI utilization in our company."

"Hearing about other companies' real organizational development initiatives was very stimulating."
