JAF Gunma to Host First-Ever Subaru Factory Tour Event for Members on July 20 (Mon, Holiday)

The Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Gunma Branch (Branch Chief: Kimiaki Hoshizaki) will host its first-ever 'JAF Day at Subaru Visitor Center Yajima Plant' on July 20 (Monday, national holiday) exclusively for JAF members. This event offers a fun and educational tour of the Subaru Corporation Gunma Plant Yajima Factory, allowing participants from children to adults to learn about the entire car production process. The event aims to spark interest and curiosity in automobiles.

About Subaru Corporation Gunma Plant Yajima Factory

This is the manufacturing facility where Subaru vehicles are produced, offering visitors a chance to observe the entire process from start to finish.

The adjacent Subaru Visitor Center is a dedicated facility where guests can explore Subaru's heritage vehicles, advanced technologies, and safety initiatives, all guided by specialized staff.

This event will feature special access to the final inspection line, which is not typically included in regular factory tours.

Participants will watch a factory introduction video and tour the exhibition hall.

● Production Plant Tour

Visitors will observe the final assembly process.

● VR Factory Tour

Using virtual reality (VR), guests will experience the press process, body welding and assembly, final assembly, painting, and final inspection processes.

※ Important Notes for VR Factory Tour

For children aged 7 to 12, VR use requires prior consent from a parent or guardian.

Children under 7, or those whose guardians do not consent to VR use, will view the VR content via tablet or screen instead.
