[JAF Yamagata] First Ever! "Autotest Challenge in NCM Sagae 2026"

JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) Yamagata Branch (Branch Manager: Masayasu Suzuki) will cooperate through PR activities and other means with the first-ever "Autotest Challenge in NCM Sagae 2026" (Organizer: Rally Team Grand Project), to be held on Sunday, June 7th, at the turning area next to the Yamagata Expressway Sagae Smart Interchange management building (Sagae City, Yamagata Prefecture). Autotest is a traditional motorsport originating from the UK, introduced to Japan in 2015. Compared to other JAF-sanctioned motorsports, rules regulate the speed to keep it low, so no competition license, helmet, gloves, or special vehicle equipment is required. You can participate with your own car as it is. It's a new motorsport that competes on "driving accuracy" rather than competing for finishing order like in a race, or for superior lap times like in gymkhana or rally. In the Autotest Challenge in NCM Sagae 2026, participants will be divided into the following four classes, with awards for each class: ・A Class: AT (Automatic Transmission vehicles) ・B Class: MT (Manual Transmission vehicles) ・C Class: Ladies Class ・D Class: Nostalgic Car (NCM Sagae exhibition vehicle) Scene from the May 2026 Autotest in Obanazawa.
