It does not require special equipment or specially modified race vehicles; a key feature is that you can participate with your everyday car, and it tests reverse driving skills not found in other motorsports. The competition is not about speed but 'driving precision.' 'Carefulness' and 'calm operation' are more important than special driving techniques. Helmets, gloves, etc., are not required, and there are no dress code regulations. One of its attractions is that completing the course makes you eligible to apply for a 'Domestic B-Class Motorsport License.' On the day, the JAF-certified 'Tohoku Gymkhana Championship Round 3' will be held. In this competition, top drivers from all over the Tohoku region will compete. Gymkhana is a motorsport where cars drive one by one on a paved course, competing for the best time. It features a series of varied sections such as slaloms, S-curves, and 360-degree turns, requiring advanced driving techniques to master the accelerator, brakes, and steering. In this competition, where split-second decisions and precise operations determine the outcome, you can experience up close the outstanding skills of drivers who handle their cars as if they were their own limbs.
