[JAF Shiga] Includes Blessings by Monks! Original Bead Bracelet Making Event to be Held at Mii-dera Temple

The Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Shiga Branch (Branch Manager: Norimichi Sato) will hold an event on Saturday, May 30th, at the head temple Mii-dera (Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture), where participants can enjoy making bead bracelets and walking through the temple grounds.

The head temple Mii-dera (Nagara-san Onjo-ji) is a representative temple of Shiga Prefecture with a history of over 1,200 years, preserving numerous national treasures and cultural assets.

At this event, participants will choose their favorite beads from various types to create their own original bead bracelet. Once completed, a monk will perform a blessing ceremony for the bracelets right on the spot.

After the crafting experience, participants will stroll through the temple grounds, including the Niomon Gate and Kondo (Main Hall), guided by a monk. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery unique to the season of fresh green leaves.
