J-WAVE (81.3FM), a radio station, held a special event filled with gratitude for its listeners, titled "J-WAVE SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100 MEGA JAM in MoN Takanawa," on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The program, "SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100," has been broadcast every Sunday afternoon since the station's opening (Sundays 13:00-16:54, Navigator: Chris Pepler).

Every year, "SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100" holds live events and music award ceremonies as a listener appreciation event. This year, following the town opening in March 2025, the event was scaled up further and held at "MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives," a museum set to open with the full completion of the area in the spring of 2026. DJ TARO and DJ DRAGON, familiar J-WAVE navigators, performed as floor DJs, while ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo, block.fm) and DJ FUMIYA (RIP SLYME) energized the venue as stage DJs. Additionally, STARGLOW's KANON, GOICHI, ADAM, and singer-songwriter Fumino appeared as talk guests on stage, adding glamour to the event.

Furthermore, the venue featured an exhibition of original drawings by artist Chris Pepler, depicting artists whose songs have reached No. 1 on the charts, as well as immersive experience content produced by Chris Pepler.

Here is the official report of this event.

【Event Report】 This season has arrived again for "SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100's" annual listener appreciation event, "TOKIO HOT 100 MEGA JAM." This year's stage was "MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives," which, following the town opening in March 2025, is set to open on Saturday, March 28, 2026, with the full completion of the area in the spring. The first to step into the venue were 500 pairs of 1,000 J-me members.

As the doors opened at the start of the event, DJ DRAGON's performance welcomed the attendees. From the DJ booth set up at the entrance, he delivered a pleasant mix primarily featuring songs that have graced the "TOKIO HOT 100" charts, such as those by Sakanaction, Fujii Kaze, and HANA. The audience stopped to enjoy the music, moving freely to the rhythm. This year's MEGA JAM kicked off with such a scene. DJ DRAGON

The 2026 MEGA JAM had slightly different details from previous years. This event was designed as a 'roaming' experience, allowing attendees to freely move around and enjoy MoN Takanawa. The author also began exploring the venue.

First, I arrived on the 3rd floor. Here, visitors were greeted by illustrations of artists who had achieved No. 1 on "SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100," drawn by program navigator Chris Pepler. The area displayed tasteful works, including portraits of Fujii Kaze and HANA, drawn with a delicate touch that could be called masterful. Furthermore, on this floor, immersive experience content produced by Chris Pepler was also available. The cutting-edge "Clear Cast" technology, unveiled that day, offered an immersive experience where attendees could interact with a virtual Chris Pepler, feeling as if they were guests on his show. Many audience members were captivated by this booth.

In line with this year's MEGA JAM's roaming and immersive theme, a booth offering the spatial VR experience "uralaa" was also featured. This special content, allowing visitors to virtually explore the inside of J-WAVE in Roppongi, naturally heightened the attendees' excitement.

While observing the immersed audience, I moved to the 1st floor, where Chris Pepler's voice boomed, "Good evening, everyone!" Addressing the attendees, who had come despite the rain, Chris mentioned the venue, "MoN Takanawa," saying, "You are all lucky! To be able to enter this venue, which opens in three days, is a precious experience," further enhancing the atmosphere. Chris Pepler

Next, DJ FUMIYA (RIP SLYME) took the main stage. The floor erupted with loud applause and cheers of "FUMIYA!" FUMIYA appeared on stage with a slightly bashful expression and had a brief chat with Chris Pepler. Chris congratulated FUMIYA on RIP SLYME's recent final live performance before their hiatus, "RIP SLYME 25th Anniversary GREATEST LIVE – Final Three Nights –" at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO, saying, "The last live was amazing! I was reminded of RIP SLYME's charm once again."

FUMIYA's DJ set began with the opening theme of "SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100," which he produced and Chris praised as "the best!" DJ FUMIYA

With sharp scratches, FUMIYA raised the venue's energy. Smiling at the cheering audience, he captivated everyone with an exceptional setlist that could be considered a best-of RIP SLYME. "HOTTER THAN JULY" and "I.N.G" followed, exciting the audience, and cheers erupted during the transitions between songs. FUMIYA, holding a fan with Chris's face on it to his own, grooved along. When "JOINT" played, more cheers and claps filled the air. The main stage's energy surged. With "Taiyo to Bikini," a sense of unity and euphoria enveloped the floor. Though I wanted to stay in that moment, the event was designed for roaming. Reluctantly leaving FUMIYA's great music, I was then invited to the 4th floor. There, I found a spacious Japanese room of about 100 tatami mats, where the gentle scent of tatami filled the air, and guests could relax after removing their shoes.

DJ TARO was playing there, creating a time for everyone to enjoy music together. His superb sounds, delivered with interaction with the audience, comfortably filled the space. It was a truly luxurious moment where the scent of tatami and music blended harmoniously.

Returning to the main stage on the 1st floor, FUMIYA was still captivating the audience with his energetic DJ set. By the time "Nettaiya" started playing, the audience's excitement was at its peak. FUMIYA and the audience danced together to the familiar moves, with FUMIYA looking joyful. He then dropped "One" as his final track, bowed, and left the stage.

Chris praised FUMIYA's performance, saying, "He's truly an artist," and then introduced a special talk session.

The first guests invited to the stage were KANON, GOICHI, and ADAM from STARGLOW. Formed from the audition program "THE LAST PIECE" in 2025, they made their major debut in January 2026 with the single "Star Wish." Although it had only been three months since their debut, Chris asked about their current feelings, and the three responded sincerely. They all agreed that "it's been a whirlwind since our debut," but ADAM reflected on their activities, stating, "We've been able to spend a rewarding period." STARGLOW's ADAM

GOICHI followed, saying, "The night before the final round of the audition, I couldn't sleep due to nerves. But now, I can approach my activities with a comfortable level of tension." Finally, KANON made a cryptic remark, "I'm the type to get nervous two weeks later..." Chris quickly quipped, "What do you mean?"

The talk session with STARGLOW unfolded in a friendly atmosphere. Recalling their audition memories, ADAM said, "I made lifelong friends," a sentiment evident in the trio's camaraderie. They showed the highest level of mutual respect and trust. The next question was about "music that influenced you." STARGLOW's KANON

KANON cited MAN WITH A MISSION, GOICHI mentioned Arashi and Jun Matsumoto, and ADAM was heavily influenced by his younger brother, leading him to BIGBANG. Their answers revealed diverse musical backgrounds. The conversation then shifted to their individual characters within STARGLOW. STARGLOW's GOICHI

According to KANON and GOICHI, ADAM has a "cool impression but is laid-back and actually quite humorous." KANON and ADAM see GOICHI as having a "straightforward and honest personality." Lastly, GOICHI and ADAM describe KANON as "mature, the most 'dad-like' 19-year-old in Japan." GOICHI finds KANON's habit of turning up his jacket collar at 19 to be mature, while ADAM feels a sense of security with him, saying, "I can't feel at ease at events like this without KANON." The talk session, showcasing their mutual trust, concluded with each member sharing their future goals and aspirations, earning warm cheers and applause from the audience for their genuine words. STARGLOW's ADAM, GOICHI, and KANON

The next talk session featured Fumino, a finalist from the audition project "No No Girls" and the first artist to debut under "NO LABEL ARTISTS," a new self-produced label founded by Chanmina.

The talk with Fumino, whose popularity is rapidly rising, began with her current feelings. She shared that she's finally starting to feel the reality of her debut, and her mindset has shifted. "Before, I just sang with all my might, but now, the desire to deliver my songs is stronger. I think I've become more aware of those around me," she explained. Chris then asked, "I heard you suddenly got a regular spot on J-WAVE!?" Fumino and Chris Pepler

Fumino, who will be the navigator for the Thursday segment "GRUUVE BUNCH" within J-WAVE's "GURU GURU!" program starting in April, shared her thoughts on this new challenge with Chris. She spoke about her feelings about facing a platform where she'll be speaking extensively on her own for the first time, and Chris warmly encouraged her. Hearing his words, Fumino smiled and said, "I feel like I can do it!" and the audience also cheered, "Do your best!"

Amidst this warm atmosphere, Fumino also delivered a surprise live performance as part of the talk. Her song "Hotline," written for her best friend from school days, directly conveyed her heartfelt, relatable lyrics. Fumino sang this song, a significant first step as a singer-songwriter, with both care and power. As the audience was captivated by her voice, she finished singing with a smile, saying, "That was fun!" Regarding her future, she stated, "I enjoy writing songs! I want to create many songs that resonate with people," concluding the special talk session. Fumino

The time for this year's MEGA JAM was drawing to a close. The event concluded with a fantastic DJ set by ☆Taku Takahashi from m-flo. ☆Taku Takahashi, who is Chris's senior from high school, shared insights into their close relationship during their talk. Chris asked, "What kind of DJ set will you play today?" ☆Taku Takahashi replied, "A chaotic set!" FUMIYA, who had just finished his DJ set, was also seen backstage. His DJ time was, as promised, wonderfully chaotic, delivering an overwhelming stream of superb sounds. ☆Taku Takahashi

He hyped up the crowd, saying, "This song was made a long time ago. If you know it, sing along, and if you don't, pretend you do!" He then dropped "gET oN!," instantly raising the floor's energy. ☆Taku Takahashi himself moved energetically across the stage with his smartphone, enjoying filming before returning to the DJ booth. He continued to play a succession of great music. "Today isn't Friday, but let's pretend it is," he announced before playing Yasuda's "Flydy Chinatown," followed by "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis," which led to a massive sing-along. A diverse range of music filled the venue. ☆Taku Takahashi

Against a backdrop of edgy VJing, he electrified the floor with a timeless set, including YMO's "RYDEEN" and Creepy Nuts' "Bling-Bang-Bang-Born." "This is Takanawa Gateway, but m-flo's new song is 'GateWay'," he announced, playing a track from their 10th album "SUPERLIMINAL," released on February 18th. He guided the audience on how to dance to the song, increasing the floor's unity. Mixing popular hits like Vaundy's "Kaiju no Uta" and Sakanaction's "Wasurerarenai no," ☆Taku Takahashi concluded his DJ set with m-flo's classic hit "come again." He then left the stage, saying, "Thank you, Gateway! Thank you!"

This year's "TOKIO HOT 100 MEGA JAM," an annual event that continued to thrill the audience with fantastic DJ sets and special talk sessions, has concluded. The talk show segments from this event will be broadcast on "SAISON CARD TOKIO HOT 100" on Sunday, March 29th. Be sure to check it out along with this report.
