Certified Non-Profit Organization Fine (hereinafter "Fine") endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release represents the dream of Certified Non-Profit Organization Fine.
Fine's dream is to create a society where individuals can choose their own lives.
Matters related to pregnancy, childbirth, and infertility treatment are deeply personal, yet they are influenced by various factors such as age, systems, medical care, work, economic circumstances, and the values of family and those around us.
Amidst these influences, life choices that one truly wishes to make independently can, unknowingly, be swayed by others or external circumstances.
There are those who desire children, those who are hesitant, those who continue treatment, those who pause, and those who choose a different path in life.
Regardless of the choice, it remains a life that the individual has deliberated, considered, and chosen for themselves.
We hope for a society where each and every one of these choices is respected.
To achieve this, it is essential to have access to necessary and correct information, to be able to consult with peace of mind, not to have to bear burdens alone, and for no choice to be denied.
Fine has, until now, engaged in activities to convey the voices of individuals struggling with infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss and their treatments to society, provided peer counseling and consultation support, conducted awareness campaigns, and carried out surveys and proposals. Through these efforts, we have strived to build connections where people feel "not alone" and a society where they feel empowered to "choose for themselves."
The society we aim for is not solely for those troubled by issues related to infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss.
It is a society where important life choices, including those related to pregnancy and childbirth, are respected as belonging to the individual.
To choose one's own life, rather than having it decided by others.
Towards a future where society supports these choices.
【Fine's Initiatives】
1. Consultation Support for those struggling with infertility and infertility treatment
We work to reduce mental burden and prevent isolation through consultations by infertility peer counselors, counseling, and chat sessions.
2. Training of Supporters who empathize with those affected
Through our infertility peer counselor training program, we are committed to nurturing consultation professionals who can empathize with and support individuals facing these challenges.
3. Creating spaces that foster connections and prevent isolation
Through events such as the Fine Festival, we foster networks between individuals affected and supporters, creating safe spaces for connection.
4. Research and dissemination to bring the voices of those affected to society
Through surveys, we visualize the often-buried small voices of those affected and work to convey them to society and policy-making bodies.
Fine will continue to listen to the voices of those affected, convey them to society, and strive to create an environment where everyone can live authentically.
