Itoki Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroshi Minato) will completely renew its factory uniforms at its Kanto No. 1 Factory, Kanto No. 2 Factory, Shiga Factory, and Kyoto Factory production sites, with progressive introduction starting from May 2026.
This renewal aims to reduce the burden on workers by improving clothing in addition to air conditioning, as a preparation for the "extreme heat" days newly indicated by the Japan Meteorological Agency. Furthermore, with the goal of creating an environment where diverse talent can work with peace of mind, employees on site themselves launched and implemented this project. The "working clothes" have been redesigned to pursue comfort, safety, and ease of work.

Background of Factory Uniform Renewal
In recent years, as the number of hot days described as "extreme heat" by the Japan Meteorological Agency has increased, the importance of heat countermeasures through clothing has also grown in manufacturing sites, in addition to improving the working environment with air conditioning equipment and vinyl curtains. At Itoki, while assuming the creation of an air-conditioned environment, we embarked on a review of uniforms to further reduce the burden of summer work.
Furthermore, as labor shortages progress, creating an environment where diverse talent, including women, young people, and foreign nationals, can work with peace of mind has become important. At Itoki's production sites, diverse talent, including graduates from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, are active, and this renewal was promoted from the perspective of "creating a more comfortable working environment."
On-site employees took the lead in repeated fittings and reviews, and after internal recruitment and company-wide voting, the design reflecting the voices of the現場 was decided.
Features of the New Uniforms
・Heat Countermeasures: Cooling materials, short sleeves, and air-conditioned clothing reduce the burden of summer work.
Cooling materials that exert a cooling effect through evaporative heat have been adopted to reduce the burden of summer work. Even when sweating, the fabric is less likely to stick, and consideration for breathability aims to create an environment that enhances comfort even on hot days.
In addition, arm covers to protect the arms have been introduced along with short-sleeved polo shirts. By providing cut resistance in addition to cooling function to the arm covers, both workability and safety are achieved.
Furthermore, air-conditioned clothing equipped with fans is also provided, and by providing pockets for storing coolants, a higher cooling effect can be achieved. Through these efforts, we aim to reduce the burden of work on hot days and ensure safety.

・Diversity: Unisex design and two color options for diverse talent to work easily.
To create an environment where diverse talent can work with peace of mind, a unisex design has been adopted. The design incorporates a female perspective, considering specific movements on site, such as a sense of security when bending down.
In addition, by designing to accommodate different body types, it has become a specification that is easy for everyone to move in. The two color options, black and camel, allow for selection according to individual preferences, aiming for a shift from conventional uniform workwear.

・Improved Workability and Functionality: Reflecting ease of movement and on-site needs, improving workability.
Long-sleeved blousons and short-sleeved polo shirts are available, allowing for wear according to the working environment and purpose. With materials combining stretchability and durability, and a cutting design that considers work movements, actions such as squatting and lifting can be performed smoothly.
Furthermore, functions reflecting on-site needs, such as pockets for storing tablet devices and pen holders that can be used on either the left or right, are incorporated, contributing to improved efficiency in daily work.
