Itoki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Koji Minato) will hold an experience event for the new work chair "SHIGA" at "ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE AOYAMA" in Aoyama, Tokyo, from Friday, March 27, 2026, to Friday, April 17, 2026.

"SHIGA" is a new work chair developed and produced at Itoki's Shiga factory. It was planned as a product that combines a minimal presence that naturally blends into the space with comfort that supports long-term use. Product design is handled by Ms. Fumie Shibata, a product designer who also collaborated on "vertebra03." In addition to its functionality as a work chair, it is designed with an emphasis on being a "chair as furniture," considering how it looks when multiple units are placed side-by-side and its harmony with the overall space. It features an ergonomically based structure internally, incorporating functions that support natural posture changes within a simple exterior. While leveraging the design and manufacturing technology of the Shiga factory, the planning, design, and development were carried out in an integrated manner.
This event, titled "Quiet Intelligence," will feature an exhibition of various prototypes and parts born from the design, development, and manufacturing process of SHIGA. These are fragments that were incidentally shaped during the design and manufacturing process and are not usually visible. We will showcase the "Quiet Intelligence" hidden behind SHIGA's manufacturing and its trajectory.
