**A bookstore has started collecting dreams.**
In the spring of 2026, a slightly unusual scene unfolds in the 2nd-floor gallery of CHIENOWA BASE, a bookstore in Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture.
(Scene on March 17th)
A large cherry tree is painted on the wall. On its branches, flowers are gradually increasing day by day.
("I want to be an Olympic athlete," "I want to get a Ph.D. in biology")
—Dreams written by customers on cherry blossom petals are being posted one by one.
The goal is to have 500 dreams in full bloom.

This is our "CHIENOWA SAKURA PROJECT."

**A stance of "listening to customer voices" that has continued since 1947.**
By the way, why has a bookstore become a place for collecting dreams?
Isshindo Co., Ltd. is a bookstore founded in Asaka City in 1947 (Showa 22).
Currently, the 2nd-floor gallery features a photo exhibition corner titled "80 Years of Isshindo." It chronicles the store's evolution from a small bookstore shortly after the war, with each photo marking its changing appearance through the eras.
(Founded in 1947. During the Showa heyday, there were even 8 branches in Asaka City.)
Having long continued our outside sales activities—that is, directly delivering books to companies, schools, and government offices—we began receiving various consultations beyond books as we visited customers' offices and workplaces.
"I want to do something about office security."
"I want to replace the multifunction printer, but I don't know which one is good."
"I want to organize my office in conjunction with a move."
As we addressed each of these, our range of products and services gradually expanded. We realized that delivering books and solving office problems are, in fact, the same thing. Both stem from the unchanging attitude of "being useful to the customer in front of us."
(Sales Department introduction booth)
In the spring of 2026, Isshindo's "Sales Department Showroom" will open, a 3-minute walk from CHIENOWA BASE. At the showroom, staff will provide detailed explanations while you view actual products. Visits and consultations are free.

**78 years with the community. And beyond.**
Our dream is "for the bookstore to remain an indispensable presence for the community."
Selling books. Connecting knowledge and people. Solving office problems. Collecting and making the dreams of local people bloom.
Even if the form changes, the root sentiment is always the same. It's not about selling and being done; we will continue our relationships with the "community-oriented approach" cultivated over 78 years.
April 1st, April Dream.
Please come and let your dream bloom on the cherry tree at CHIENOWA BASE.
(As of March 29th, it's about half-bloomed.)
