These cutting-edge technologies are already beginning to bring about changes in Japan's industrial structure. Leading companies such as Hai Robotics, GALBOT, and Syrius Robotics have begun demonstration experiments in Japan for warehouse automation, retail DX, and cleaning. What we see here is not merely "foreign capital entry," but a new form of open innovation that merges the on-site capabilities of Japanese companies with the overwhelming implementation speed of Chinese companies. This webinar will explore how to combine the strengths of both countries to create new value, through examples such as the Japan-China Innovation Convention led by Janshin, and contests that collaborate with major companies like Sony and Omron with universities. Established Janshin in Shanghai in 2015 and expanded to Shenzhen and Tokyo in 2018. Prior to going independent in 2013, he worked at Deloitte Tohmatsu Tokyo/Shanghai in M&A, investment consulting, venture support, IPO support, and audits of listed companies. He began his career as an engineer at Hewlett Packard, possessing an IT background. In 2019, he received the "White Magnolia Memorial Award," an honor for foreigners who have made significant contributions to Shanghai. Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Aerospace Engineering. He is a Certified Public Accountant (USA), has passed Chinese CPA exams (Accounting, Tax), and is certified as a Chinese fund professional. Masaaki Shu (朱真明) Janshin - Director / Analyst, Innovation Acceleration Business Unit Serves as the analyst team leader at "Janshin" (匠新), an accelerator promoting startup and innovation collaboration in Japan and China. Conducts research and analysis on domestic innovation trends in China, from industry trends to venture investment, startups, and the latest developments from the top four Chinese IT giants: BATH (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei). In addition to research, he has a track record of supporting companies from enterprise matching and Proof of Concept (PoC) implementation to strategic partnerships. A Chinese national born and raised in Japan, he holds a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai University of Science and Technology. He joined Janshin in 2017. Chengxi Li / Charles Li SenseTime - Head of Japan Business, Asia-Pacific Business Headquarters Completed a Master's program in Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University Graduate School in the United States and holds a Professional Engineer license in New York State. He has approximately 13 years of experience living and working overseas in Japan and the United States, and has been involved in product management and business development at two NASDAQ-listed technology companies in New York. Since 2021, he has been responsible for promoting the deployment of SenseTime's AI technology in the Japanese market and developing global account business.
