(Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Atsuko Yasuda; hereinafter "the Company") will introduce a new pet consultation service, "Uchino-ko Video Expert Consultation" (service provided by Pets-All Right Co., Ltd.), effective October 1, 2026. Additionally, on October 2, 2026, the Company will launch the 50% coverage plan for the pet insurance product "Uchino-ko Light" and implement product revisions, including premium adjustments.

Background

Under its corporate mission of "Creating a society where pets and people live together in good health," the Company established the Brand Message "A Lifetime of Love for Our Pets" in fiscal year 2024. To support pet owners by reducing the financial burden of veterinary care for their beloved companion animals and enabling optimal treatment choices, the Company continues to enhance its pet insurance services. As part of this effort, the Company will introduce the new, highly accessible consultation service "Uchino-ko Video Expert Consultation," allowing pet owners to easily consult experts about everyday pet-related concerns.

Regarding product revisions, to realize the Company's mission of "Making pet insurance commonplace," and to meet diverse customer needs by expanding plan and pricing options, the Company will launch the 50% coverage plan for "Uchino-ko Light." At the same time, in response to evolving social conditions for pets, advances in veterinary medicine, rising medical costs due to inflation, and to ensure stable claim payments in the future, the Company will revise certain products, including adjustments to insurance premiums.

Introduction of "Uchino-ko Video Expert Consultation"

Effective October 1, 2026, the "Uchino-ko Video Expert Consultation" service will be newly introduced for all policyholders of the Company's pet insurance. *Hedgehogs, flying squirrels, hamsters, birds, squirrels, mice, lizards, turtles, and other animals covered under the "Uchino-ko Cute" pet insurance are not eligible for this consultation service.

(3) Revision of Discount System

The current multi-pet discount, which applies a percentage reduction, will be revised to a fixed-amount "Multiple Policy Discount" to make discounts clearer for customers with multiple policies. Existing policies will be transitioned gradually starting with renewals on or after October 2. For new policies, the "Multiple Policy Discount" will apply to policies with coverage start dates on or after October 2. The discount applies from the second policy onward. For a single policy, if multiple policies are held at the time of renewal, the discount will apply starting from that renewal.

1 Changes to outpatient care provisions (including support for online consultations)

In response to evolving veterinary practices, online consultations and prescription refills issued without the pet being present—when appropriately conducted under a veterinarian's instruction—will now be newly covered under outpatient care benefits. This change will apply to all policies, including existing ones, for treatments received on or after October 2, 2026.

*Note: "Uchino-ko Light" does not include outpatient care coverage.

2 Simplified procedures for policy termination upon pet death

When a policy terminates due to the death of the insured pet, policyholders who meet certain conditions may now retroactively terminate the policy as of the date of death, without needing to submit official proof of death. This revised procedure will apply to all claims received on or after October 2, 2026, including for existing policies.

3 Clarification and simplification of policy wording

To improve clarity for customers, the Company has revised and clarified policy terms, including the changes above and primarily provisions related to "definitions of terms."
