IO DATA DEVICE INC. announces that its enterprise NAS 'LAN DISK (Randisk)' 'HDL-LX Series' now supports a snapshot function.

In business operations, data is a critical asset, and protection against data loss due to accidental file deletion, incorrect editing, or ransomware attacks is essential. The newly added snapshot function allows the system to regularly record and save the state of files and folders, enabling rapid restoration to a previous state in case of emergencies.

## Secure Data Protection with Regular Restore Points

The snapshot function creates periodic restore points of files and folders on the NAS.

Snapshots can be taken as frequently as every 10 minutes. If a file is accidentally deleted or editing needs to be undone, data can be restored from the saved restore points.

Additionally, by setting an upper limit on storage space, older snapshots are automatically deleted when capacity is exceeded, reducing operational management effort. Snapshots can also be protected from automatic deletion by enabling the protection feature.

※ To enable snapshots, ensure the firmware is updated to the latest version.
※ Not available in RAIDeX (default shipping configuration). Please set to a RAID mode other than RAIDeX.

## Easy Restoration After Accidental Edits or Deletions

For example, if a file is accidentally edited, it can be restored to its state at the time the snapshot was taken.

This enables:
