invox Inc. (CEO Akira Yokoi, headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), Smart Forest Co., Ltd. (CEO Takashi Sato, headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), Kitaharima Forest Cooperative (Chairman Yasuyoshi Furuya, main office: Taka-cho, Taka-gun, Hyogo Prefecture), Hyogo Forest and Forestry Cooperative Federation (Chairman Shiro Nioka, main office: Chuo-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture), Japan Offset Design Soken Inc. (CEO Naoki Urakami, headquarters: Chuo-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture), and the National Federation of Forest Cooperatives (Chairman Kazuhisa Nakazaki, main office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) have signed a J-Credit collaboration agreement on June 15, 2026, for the 'Hyogo Prefecture Taka Town Water and Earth Forest Conservation Project,' and hereby announce this development.

The six parties will now collaborate using the J-Credit system to promote forest resource conservation in Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture, and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.

1. Initiative Content and Significance

Under this agreement, the Kitaharima Forest Cooperative will generate forest-derived J-Credits from three forest areas it manages in the Kama district of Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture. invox Inc. will purchase all of these J-Credits.

invox Inc. will sell the purchased J-Credits through its service 'invox Carbon Accounting' to companies engaged in carbon offsetting.

The Kitaharima Forest Cooperative will designate these forests as the 'invox Forest' and use the revenue from J-Credit sales to further forest management, aiming to maintain and enhance the multifunctional roles of forests through conservation activities.

The Hyogo Forest and Forestry Cooperative Federation, Japan Offset Design Soken Inc., and the National Federation of Forest Cooperatives will fully support Kitaharima Forest Cooperative’s J-Credit generation and sales by utilizing the 'FC BASE' platform—a national support platform for forest-derived J-Credit creation and sales operated by the National Federation of Forest Cooperatives.

Additionally, Smart Forest Co., Ltd. will serve as invox Inc.'s credit creation support partner, supporting invox’s purchase and sale of J-Credits and ensuring the smooth operation of the 'invox Forest.'

Through these initiatives, the collaboration aims to contribute to local forest conservation and the realization of a decarbonized society.

※ The J-Credit system is a government-certified program that quantifies CO2 absorption from forest management as tradable 'credits.'
