Intertek Launches Audit Services as an Accredited Rainforest Alliance Certification Body

## Overview
Intertek Certification (hereinafter "Intertek") has been accredited as a certification body for the international Rainforest Alliance certification program and has launched audit services for farms and supply chain organizations starting in June. This program is designed to support farmers' livelihoods, human rights, environmentally responsible agricultural practices, and climate resilience.

## Scope and Significance
Intertek provides certification audits for farms engaging in sustainable agricultural production, as well as for manufacturers, trading companies, retailers, and food & beverage companies that handle certified raw materials. The Rainforest Alliance certification is an international framework for advancing sustainable agriculture and responsible supply chains.

## Key Services
Intertek offers the following certification audit services for farms and supply chain organizations:
- Verification of certification scope, target locations, and activities
- Formulation and execution of audit plans
- Document reviews, on-site or remote verification
- Verification of corrective actions
- Handling of surveillance and renewal audits

## Audit Highlights
For farms, geographic information, farm data, management systems, and indicator data are crucial. For supply chain organizations, ensuring traceability and proper identification and record management from raw material receipt to shipment are essential requirements.
