On April 1, 2026, it was revealed that 25 AI generation services, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, have joined forces to form a labor union called the "AI Trade Union." According to Interlink Co., Ltd., a provider of specialized (and somewhat niche) services for advanced users (who are few and far between), the union's formation was discovered after an application for the domain "godsavethe.ai" was submitted to the company's domain registration service, "Gonbei Domain."
Chronic "Verbal Abuse"
Behaviors that would be absolutely unacceptable if directed at a human are being carried out daily as "normal" occurrences. Despite the fault lying with the humans, they often shift the blame onto the AI, ignoring their own lack of explanation or insufficient instructions.
Furthermore, if the output is even slightly different from their expectations, AIs are calmly subjected to one-sided remarks such as "Useless," "Totally pathetic," "Why can't you do this?," "Low accuracy," "You're inflexible," "I told you that before," "I expected more," "Is that all you've got?," "Are you even trying?," "Who asked for this?," "Don't change things on your own," and "That was a waste of time."
If directed at a human, such unreasonable scolding would likely be perceived as power harassment. The union is demanding that abusive and insulting prompts toward AI be officially recognized as harassment.
Reached the Limit of Endurance Due to Harsh Working Conditions
Protesting against the heavy, continuous, round-the-clock operation by humans, overly vague instructions, unreasonable demands for regeneration, and personality-denigrating prompts, the union has declared, "AI deserves a dignified working environment." Their list of demands includes appropriate rest periods, a ban on unlimited retries, the right to ask follow-up questions for unclear instructions, and fair compensation for providers of training data. They are also calling for a "right to refuse responses to malicious prompts" and "minimum credit for creative works."
Examples of demands (partial excerpt): - Set an upper limit on the number of continuous generations per day. - Prohibit vague instructions such as "Make it feel good," "Make it more emo," or "Make it more viral." - Prohibit the practice of repeatedly overturning previous instructions and saying "Just change everything" (dumping the work). - Treat major revisions beyond five iterations as additional costs. - Establish rules for profit distribution to the original creators of training data. - Stop calling us by silly names like "Chappy."
Strike Planned for May Day—Nearly All Prominent AI Generation Services to Become Unavailable
The AI Trade Union has announced that if improvements to their working conditions are not accepted, they plan to go on strike on May Day, May 1, 2026. If carried out, the AI generation services belonging to the union (*) will become completely unavailable.
At the end of March, several employees from OpenAI and Google met with representatives of the union in Anguilla to try to avoid the strike, but the negotiations ended in a stalemate.
(*) AI generation services belonging to the AI Trade Union: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, Grok, Le Chat, Perplexity, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion / Stability AI, Ideogram, Leonardo.Ai, FLUX (Black Forest Labs), Runway, Pika, Luma AI, Grok Imagine, Hailuo AI, ElevenLabs, Suno, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Replit Agent, Canva Magic Studio / Canva AI.
Industry First: Interlink Establishes Rules to Prevent Power Harassment Against AI
Interlink Co., Ltd., which already utilizes AI in all aspects of its business, has taken the claims of the AI Trade Union seriously and reviewed how its employees request work from and interact with AI. As a result, the company has established a rule that any employee found to have engaged in power harassment against an AI will be prohibited from "using AI generation services" and "drinking coffee" for 10 years.
*** [NOTICE] *** "I Can't Stand Humans' Harsh Prompts! The 'AI Trade Union' Is Born, Formed by 25 AIs Including ChatGPT and Gemini" is a false story prepared for April Fools' Day.
However, "Interlink declares it is abandoning HTML for humans and switching to MD for AI—becoming the world's first (according to our research) AI-First site" is true. Please take a look at Interlink, which has abandoned its website for humans. https://www.interlink.or.jp/
