Yokohama City Totsuka Ward eyelash salon 'vlicil Odoriba' (Operated by Lemon Dot Inc. / Grade Group Inc.) has started offering new eyebrow treatment services, 'Eyebrow Waxing' and 'Eyebrow Trimming,' from February 2026. By adding eyebrow services to its existing eyelash perm and extension treatments, the salon has established a 'Total Eye Beauty' system that allows for one-stop treatment of both eyelashes and eyebrows.
Simultaneously, a 'Student Discount U24' is being offered, providing a 500 yen discount on all services for students aged 24 and under (until mid-April). The aim is to provide a service that helps students starting new lives make a positive first impression.
Background: 'Customers who get eyelash treatments are surprisingly not doing their eyebrows.'
vlicil provides eyelash treatments to approximately 280 customers per month, with a repeat customer rate of about 80%, significantly exceeding the industry average (around 50-60% in urban areas) and supported by a loyal customer base.
During daily treatments, it was noticed that many customers who carefully care for their eyelashes still manage their eyebrows themselves. Despite eyelashes and eyebrows being 'paired elements' that influence the impression of the eye area, the concept of having eyebrows done by a professional is not yet widely adopted.
As the staff's skills matured and the existing eyelash treatments became stable, the introduction of new services was realized when motivated staff members expressed their desire to also offer eyebrow services as a next step.
