Osaka Prefecture aims to establish health and medical-related industries as next-generation leading sectors. To achieve this, it is promoting initiatives through integrated industry-academia-government collaboration to build networks with domestic and international enterprises and clusters, leading to new business creation and expansion.
As a flagship initiative, the Osaka-Kansai Expo featured the ‘Osaka Healthcare Pavilion,’ which attracted significant attention throughout the event. Experiential exhibits such as the ‘Life Game,’ which saw such high demand that reservations became extremely difficult and were dubbed ‘platinum tickets,’ along with body age measurement and avatar generation that lets you meet your future self 25 years ahead, left a strong impression on many visitors.
At WHX Osaka, visitors will have the rare opportunity to experience these highly acclaimed exhibits from the Expo, including the ‘Life Game,’ along with various other technologies and experiential content. Gold sponsor Osaka Bio-Headquarters (secretariat: Osaka Prefecture) and 44 companies and organizations will gather to present cutting-edge research, technologies, and commercialization efforts in life sciences and medicine from Osaka Prefecture and the Kansai region’s academia and promising startups.
Additionally, within the pavilion, the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Osaka Industry Bureau—responsible for supporting SMEs and entrepreneurs—will showcase a concentrated collection of the latest products and services from 15 elite Osaka-based SMEs targeting global markets. This will powerfully communicate Osaka’s technological capabilities, business creation potential, and global expansion prospects to both domestic and international audiences.
