WAmazing and ITFOR Form Capital and Business Alliance to Launch Regional Revitalization Platform Business in Inbound Tourism Sector

WAmazing Inc. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Fumiko Kato) and ITFOR Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Koji Sakata; hereinafter referred to as 'ITFOR') formed a capital and business alliance as of April 1, 2026.

Our company provides a service for inbound tourists, with over 600,000 members, through an inbound platform. This service allows foreign visitors to Japan to order (reserve) products online 'before and during their trip' and receive them tax-free at dedicated tax-exempt vending machines (patented) installed at major airports and airport stations nationwide, or at over 160 hotels and other locations across Japan, at any time before their departure from Japan. In preparation for the revision of the consumption tax exemption system (export article sales place system) to be implemented from November 2026, we are developing Tax Free As A Service (TFaaS), which offers our system infrastructure and operational know-how to retailers, manufacturers, and e-commerce operators in a SaaS format.

This time, our company has formed a capital and business alliance with ITFOR, whose corporate purpose is to contribute to society through regional revitalization by providing systems and services primarily to regional financial institutions, local governments, and local department stores. Through this, we aim to jointly launch a social infrastructure provision business that combines ITFOR's customer base and sales base with our TFaaS platform to promote the penetration of inbound consumption demand into local regions.

＜TFaaS: Tax Free as a Service Overview＞

TFaaS is a consumption tax-exempt sales platform that can be flexibly constructed, from backend utilization for tax-exempt sales procedures and refund data linkage, to multilingual e-commerce, and shared use of delivery infrastructure.

With the revision of the consumption tax exemption system (export article sales place system) to be implemented from November 2026, it is difficult and inefficient for businesses to handle alone. This platform centrally provides essential elements for tax-exempt sales, such as 'securing and shared use of export article sales places (tax-exempt vending machines, nationwide tax-exempt delivery points)', 'creation, transmission, and management of purchase record information', and 'automatic acquisition of customs confirmation information and refund scheme linkage associated with consumption tax refunds'.

In addition to 'one-stop provision' that allows companies to open stores on our multilingual e-commerce site with over 600,000 members and utilize our integrated fulfillment network for delivery, handover, and tax-exempt procedures, it is also possible for companies that already have their own sales channels to link and use 'only the backend infrastructure' for tax exemption and refund processes, which are challenges under the new system.

* The actual refund processing (fund transfer) equivalent to the consumption tax will be carried out through affiliated fund transfer service providers in accordance with laws and regulations.
