Miratap Launches New Slab Tiles (Extra-Large Format Tiles) Enabling Total Space Coordination

Miratap Co., Ltd., an internet sales company for residential equipment, will commence sales of slab tiles (extra-large format tiles) from Friday, May 8, 2026. Some of the initial products in this launch will feature slab tiles made from the identical material used in their full ceramic kitchen, "Geora," thereby enabling a more unified and harmonious spatial design. The company also plans to progressively introduce new slab tile lineups starting from June.

In recent years, there has been a globally accelerating trend in design, particularly within residential and commercial environments, emphasizing a desire for "seamless integration" and a "high-quality material aesthetic." Against this backdrop, "slab tiles (extra-large format tiles)" have garnered significant attention. Their demand is experiencing rapid growth, especially across Europe, and they are increasingly prominent at influential global design events like Salone del Mobile in Milan. Consequently, their adoption is expanding across a diverse range of settings, from private residences to large-scale commercial facilities. These tiles offer the ability to achieve dynamic, single-slab designs – previously only attainable with natural stone – but at a more accessible price point. Furthermore, their comparative lightness relative to natural stone contributes to reduced burden during both transportation and installation. Their applications are remarkably versatile, extending beyond traditional floor and wall coverings to include surface materials for kitchens, washbasins, cabinets, tables, and other furniture.

For this initial launch of slab tiles, Miratap is introducing four distinct series: "Basalti," "Annapurna," and "Calacatta Soft," all manufactured from the same material as the full ceramic kitchen "Geora," alongside "Starshine," which meticulously replicates the luxurious appearance of marble. By integrating these slab tiles, which share the material composition with the "Geora" kitchen, into wall, floor, and furniture surfaces, it becomes possible to achieve a holistic and deeply coordinated aesthetic that extends from the kitchen into the entire surrounding space.

New slab tile lineups are slated for sequential introduction from June onwards.
