INDUSTRIAL-X Promotes 'Next-Generation DX Factory for Digital Twins' Together with Senju Sprinkler
INDUSTRIAL-X is partnering with top fire sprinkler manufacturer Senju Sprinkler to implement a 'next-generation sprinkler DX factory' at their Marumori plant. By leveraging digital twins, data-driven analytics, and AI, the project aims to transform traditional manual manufacturing processes into modern, data-centric operations to improve productivity and working environments.

INDUSTRIAL-X, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tomonori Yako; hereinafter 'the Company'), which supports corporate transformation through data-driven management, is pleased to announce that it is working with Senju Sprinkler Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masaaki Ueno; hereinafter 'Senju Sprinkler'), the top domestic manufacturer of fire sprinklers, to realize a 'Next-Generation Sprinkler DX Factory for Digital Twins' at their Marumori Factory (Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture).
Background of the Initiative
In 2025, Senju Sprinkler revamped its corporate logo to clearly demonstrate its commitment to further brand value enhancement and technological innovation. In conjunction with this, to improve factory productivity, the company introduced the concept of a 'Digital Twin'—which synchronizes the physical and digital worlds to create a better environment—and adopted the concept of 'SP-X' (Sprinkler Transformation: transforming the sprinkler industry for the next generation), actively engaging in DX (Digital Transformation) and SX (Sustainable Transformation).
Senju Sprinkler and our company have been jointly advancing this project since July 2025, aiming to transition from 'human know-how,' such as intuition, tricks, and experience—which have been emphasized at the Marumori factory's sprinkler production site—to 'data-driven knowledge' that utilizes accumulated data for analysis and simulation using AI.
Today, March 26th, we held a 'Factory DX Presentation' at the Marumori Factory, attended by Ichinoseki Mayor Yoshihito Sato and invited media, where we introduced our initiatives to date and provided a tour of the actual factory floor.
Key Contents of the Joint Project
-
Visualization of Operations via Digital Platform
We have constructed a data platform at the Marumori factory that integrates and visualizes actual human work conditions and equipment operating data. This allows for the confirmation of operational efficiency on the shop floor and data-based analysis, while also enabling real-time, actual-cost information management. -
Renewal to a 'Smart Way of Working'
By utilizing tablets and implementing data integration between multiple systems, we are transforming on-site operations that tend to rely heavily on paper forms into 'smart' workflows. Through this, we are working to dispel the traditional '3K' (demanding, dirty, dangerous) image and create an attractive workplace where young people want to stay. -
Realization of Advanced Production Management and Future Forecasting
Moving forward, we plan to expand the functionality of the data platform to develop a company-wide common data infrastructure and KPI dashboard. We aim to build a comprehensive order-to-production-to-high-precision-cost management system, including AI-based forecasting, to continuously strive toward the realization of a next-generation factory.
Comment from Masaaki Ueno, President of Senju Sprinkler Co., Ltd.
As Senju Sprinkler, with our unique and highly reliable technology, outlines a medium-term strategy that includes further productivity improvements and increasing our overseas market share, digitalization has become essential. When envisioning the 'digitalization of the factory,' the first person who came to mind was INDUSTRIAL-X CEO Yako, with whom I had the experience of collaborating at my previous job. He has abundant knowledge of manufacturing sites, and after just one visit to our factory, he accurately understood our challenges. I am very grateful that we succeeded in launching a data foundation, including an actual-cost management application, in about half a year, starting from the visualization of production equipment operation and human work status that we had envisioned. We will continue to work hand-in-hand with INDUSTRIAL-X as a strategic partner, striving to realize an advanced order and production system that includes a seamless data linkage environment with orders and future forecasting via AI.
Comment from Tomonori Yako, CEO of INDUSTRIAL-X, Inc.
I am very pleased to be jointly working here at the factory in Ichinoseki, Iwate, to realize a next-generation factory that embodies the 'digital twin' concept—which had not been very familiar to Senju Sprinkler until now. By aggregating and visualizing as digital data the operating status of numerous equipment that had been difficult to see, and individual intuition and experience that had been difficult to visualize, the way the site operates will evolve significantly toward 'data-ism.' I am confident that by demonstrating a 'smart way of working' through tablet utilization and data linkage in this project, we will create an attractive workplace for young people and a model case that generates new vitality for local industry. We will continue to join hands with Senju Sprinkler and walk together toward building an advanced production system that includes future forecasting by AI.
Impact and Outlook for Local Industry
We believe that one of the objectives of this project is to disseminate it nationwide as a model case for manufacturing DX in Ichinoseki City. By realizing a local cutting-edge smart factory environment and contributing to the promotion of local employment, and by having Senju Sprinkler become famous worldwide, we will contribute even more to raising the awareness, brand power, and industrial revitalization of Ichinoseki City as a whole.
