SoJapan Inc. (Headquarters: Kyoto Prefecture; hereinafter 'SoJapan'), which supports Japanese companies' entry into the Indian market, is pleased to announce that it has supported the Indian market sales channel development project of Kurabo Industries Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City; hereinafter 'Kurabo') and has published a case study article.

**■ Background and Challenges**
Kurabo, a long-established textile manufacturer founded in 1888, has diversified its business beyond textiles to include chemicals, environmental mechatronics, electronics, and biomedical fields. The company aimed to enter the growing Indian market and had succeeded in acquiring inquiries through participation in local exhibitions. However, they faced challenges in the follow-up process after exhibitions and in securing orders. Specifically, the following points were barriers:
- Lack of a communication strategy adapted to the unique business customs of the Indian market
- Undeveloped sales scheme (commercial flow and transaction condition design)
- Insufficient understanding of local standards, testing, and adoption processes for flame-retardant materials

**■ Support Provided by SoJapan**
With the concept of 'not just ending with research,' SoJapan provides end-to-end support for Japanese companies' entry into India, from market research and marketing strategy formulation to local partner development, exhibition support, and sales representation. With a base in India, a specialized team fluent in Japanese, English, and Hindi provides execution-oriented support to 'meet people, test, and sell' on the ground.

In this project, we supported Kurabo's Indian market development in the following three phases.

**1. Market Analysis Phase**
We narrowed down the target industries and applications, investigated the competitive situation, price ranges, and commercial flows, and created a proposal story optimized for the Indian market.

**2. On-site Investigation Phase**
We collected real local feedback by participating in workwear exhibitions and visiting NITRA (Northern India Textile Research Association), reflecting it in our strategy.

**3. Execution Support Phase**
We supported the execution side of bringing Kurabo's products to the Indian market through local customer development, business negotiation creation, and exhibition management support. We also established a system to find promising local partners, develop sales, and obtain the latest trends in the local market and regulations.
