■ What is the "Nola Original Work Award"?
The "Nola Original Work Award" is a creative contest aiming to connect the "original works" created by writers to commercialization in novels, manga, webtoons, and video. It was held with one of the largest numbers of participating editorial departments in Japan. Utilizing the "Editorial Department Bulletin Board" function deployed on the novel posting site "Nola Novel," where domestic and international editorial departments post and recruit works with a view to commercial debut, over 40 editorial departments recruited works under their respective themes and conducted daily screening of directly submitted works.

During the submission period of the inaugural "1st Nola Original Work Award," from September 1, 2025 (Monday) to January 12, 2026 (Monday), a total of 3,712 works were submitted. Works spanning a wide range of genres and themes, from love stories to fantasy and human drama, were posted. From these, a total of 34 works have been selected for awards: 4 Grand Prize works, 19 Excellence Award works, and 11 Honorable Mention works. For the Grand Prize and Excellence Award works, we will now fully engage in efforts toward commercialization into novels, manga, webtoons, and video in cooperation with each editorial department.
