<< Synopsis >>
After a mortal struggle with the Apostles, the world finally moves toward recovery. Behind the scenes, however, China secretly checks the progress of its otherworldly invasion plan, only to freeze it due to a lack of pawns and means. Various countries seek Kosuke Otoha's power to rebuild their destroyed cities, but the Japanese government refuses, presenting the reality that even with Otoha's magic, global-scale reconstruction is not easy. Amidst the seemingly peaceful daily life, the [Canaan Magical Commerce, Earth Branch] finally opens, allowing Otoha and his friends to acquire new knowledge and convenience. But what awaits them is a school trip—supposedly a major youth event—and the supernatural horrors lurking behind it. A hotel infested with vengeful spirits, a princess from Tsugaru sealed underground, and apparitions turned evil spirits trying to take her back. Though it was meant to be a final high school memory, the modern magicians are once again thrown into an incredibly troublesome incident. Playing hard and fighting hard, the curtain rises on their turbulent school trip.

Thank you for always supporting me. I am pleased to safely deliver the 14th volume to all of you.
Now, for volume 14, I've decided to put a fresh spin on things and focus on student life, fitting for high schoolers. After all, the protagonist Kosuke Otoha and main members Yutaro Tsukiji and Koharu Niiyama are active high school students, so there's no problem at all starting a school arc.
So, Kosuke Otoha and the gang finally advance to their third year, and the school trip that was canceled due to the battle with the Apostles is resumed. The destinations are Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Tokyo. Thus, this volume focuses on the events in Kyoto.
Considering the possibility of an ambush by demons during travel, the modern magicians head to the hotel in Kyoto early on a magic carpet instead of an airplane. Figuring it would be terrible if something happened during the school trip, they envelop the entire hotel in a massive barrier.
However, they encounter various supernatural phenomena at that hotel and cross paths with a martial-arts monk. Furthermore, they catch information about a princess who was kidnapped from Tsugaru. To rescue her, the modern magician team advances into a new battle set in Kyoto.
This time, the fight is to protect and to save. How will the battle unfold?!
Volume 14 is a story of magicians enjoying their youth like true students. Please enjoy the book version, which features more members than the Web version and unfolds even more intense battles.
