We support the 'April Dream' initiative, which aims to make April 1st a day to share dreams. This press release represents the dream of 'ImaginAtive'. Learning from Africa: Although Japan and Africa are physically far apart, touching upon the commonalities and uniqueness within such a 'distant world' serves as a trigger to rediscover 'oneself'—the most familiar existence—and to rethink one's values and way of life. To deliver such triggers to young people in Japan, we are launching in fiscal year 2026! There are two types of 'Creation' learning starting from Africa: 1. Outreach Classes: We can accommodate various formats, from long-term programs to one-off sessions. (Example: 1-hour social studies class at an elementary school: Quiz & explanation about Rwanda (15 min), Online connection with the local site (10 min), Experiencing Africa through Afro-dance (10 min), Reflection (10 min)). 2. RWANDA CREATIVE JOURNEY: We can create training programs tailored to the needs of various organizations, covering themes like peace, art, social problem-solving, and business. While held regularly in March and August, please consult us for other dates! (Example: 5-day attendance: Day 1: Visit African fabric market, dance class; Day 2: Clothing design & order, visit genocide memorial; Day 3: Visit self-sufficient village, reflection; Day 4: Fashion show in Kigali slum; Day 5: Visit art center). Through these activities, we deliver a process where photos in textbooks come to life and learning is internalized through dialogue. If you are interested, please contact us at the email address below! We look forward to hearing from you: rwanda.creative2025@gmail.com. Event Announcement: On June 12-13, 2026 (Fri-Sat), we will hold a photo exhibition in Tokyo created with participants of the previous two 'RWANDA CREATIVE JOURNEY' sessions. Please wait for updates on our Instagram. From August 12 (Wed) to 16 (Sun), 2026, we will hold the RWANDA CREATIVE JOURNEY! There is no age limit. We will design the 5 days to cherish your thoughts, whether you are thinking about how to spend your summer vacation, vaguely interested in visiting Africa, or wanting to give shape to your passions. Please contact us at the email above for details. Project Member Introduction: We are 'ImaginAtive', a group composed of members who have encountered and been fascinated by Africa in various ways. (Member profiles: Miu Kobayashi, Seran Matsui, Kana Miyoshi).
