P.I.C.S. and Questry Sign Business Partnership Agreement for Joint Development of IP Content.

(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and CEO: Shunjiro Nagase) which globally provides one-stop services from video planning and production to video editing, distribution, and circulation services, has signed an investment and joint business agreement with Questry Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Representative Director: Tomonobu Ibe, hereinafter 'Questry') regarding the pilot film for 'Princess Zonofu' produced by P.I.C.S. This is Questry's first investment project in a pilot film. Through this partnership, both companies will jointly promote IP development with a view to expanding this work into a feature film and series, aiming to maximize the value of the work. ## Background of the Partnership P.I.C.S. has operated under the statement 'Fun surprises for the world' since its founding in 2000. It has been involved in the production of various video and graphic content across genres, including music videos, live videos, commercials, movies, dramas, and anime. Furthermore, it has expanded its business domain to include interactive content, spatial direction, and experience design at commercial facilities and exhibitions, bringing experiences that transcend the frame of video to the world. They also manage over 20 diverse creators, including directors, scriptwriters, and animation creators. In recent years, they launched P.I.C.S. ST, a brand that produces original works, challenging themselves with IP development leveraging their cultivated creativity. They have created works with unique originality, such as the highly talked-about anime 'ODDTAXI' and the drama 'Sinanthropus,' which won the Galaxy Award Monthly Prize in December 2025. Questry's mission is 'Making Japanese content the world's best through the power of finance.' They promote financial businesses to attract new funding for Japanese entertainment content, utilizing a wide range of options from traditional financial schemes like the anime fund operated with Mizuho Securities to advanced methods including security tokens. Their goal is to elevate Japanese entertainment into a global 'asset class' and build a system where diverse investors, from institutional investors to individual fans, can participate. In this partnership, leveraging the strengths of both companies, we will jointly promote IP development with an eye on global expansion. As a stepping stone, we have started the development of the 'Princess Zonofu' pilot film. A pilot film is an important starting point that presents the worldview and potential of a work, leading to future feature films or serialization. On the other hand, in Japan, it has often been the case that production companies have had to undertake the production of pilot films at their own risk, and development accompanied by sufficient business design and capital strategy has not always been common. However, in order to deploy an IP business predicated on the international market, it is becoming essential to conduct global business planning and capital design from the initial stages. P.I.C.S. and Questry shared this awareness of the issue and have held repeated discussions on a financial framework to design the pilot film not merely as an experimental production, but as a future IP asset. This project is the first initiative to put those discussions into practice in a concrete form. ## Details of this Partnership In this partnership, both companies will jointly promote the following: - Planning and development of feature films and series originating from the pilot film - Medium- to long-term business design and revenue model construction as an IP - Finance design and partnering with a view to global expansion Questry will take on capital strategy according to the growth stage of the IP, leveraging its expertise in financial design and investment scheme construction.
