IKEA to Open "IKEA Toyosu" in Early Autumn 2026

IKEA Japan K.K. (Headquarters: Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture; Representative Director, President and Chief Sustainability Officer: Petra Fare), the Japanese subsidiary of IKEA, a Swedish home furnishing company with the vision "to create a better everyday life for the many people," will open an IKEA store (store within a commercial facility) "IKEA Toyosu" in Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu in early autumn 2026.

IKEA aims to realize "a more accessible, more affordable, and more sustainable IKEA," and as an omnichannel retailer, it is expanding various customer touchpoints. By continuously strengthening and comprehensively connecting each channel, such as IKEA stores, customer support centers, the IKEA online store, the IKEA app, and product pickup points, IKEA is committed to providing a more comfortable, convenient, and seamless shopping experience.

In the Tokyo metropolitan area, to make IKEA more accessible to many people, we are promoting omnichannel integration by connecting IKEA stores such as IKEA Shibuya, IKEA Tokyo-Bay, IKEA Tachikawa, IKEA Shinmisato, IKEA Yokohama, and IKEA Yokohama Bay Quarter, along with the IKEA online store, IKEA app, customer support center, and product pickup points. This allows customers to enjoy shopping at IKEA according to their needs and lifestyles.

Toyosu is a vibrant area where many people live, work, and interact. It is also a region widely used by working generations and child-rearing generations who frequently move due to life stage changes and have a high interest in home life. Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu is one of Tokyo's leading large shopping malls, bustling with many visitors. Its excellent accessibility, being about 5 minutes by train from Ginza and directly connected to the nearest Toyosu Station, makes it an easy location to visit.

IKEA product developers and designers develop and design products considering the balance of the five elements of IKEA's unique product development philosophy, "Democratic Design" (excellent design, functionality, quality, sustainability, and low price). At IKEA Toyosu, a carefully selected range of approximately 9,500 products from IKEA's lineup will be sold, allowing people of all generations to enjoy a comfortable and sustainable home life. A wide range of products will be available, from furniture and interior/daily goods to take-home food items.

IKEA Toyosu will be the fifth store within a commercial facility in Japan. IKEA Tokyo-Bay, located about 30 minutes away by train, offers a full lineup of approximately 9,500 products and features customer fulfillment functions that support both store and e-commerce businesses. By collaborating with IKEA Toyosu, it will realize an even more comfortable, convenient, and seamless shopping experience.

Furthermore, in the Toyosu area, there is a product pickup point where large furniture can be received. In addition to in-store purchases, customers can flexibly choose a pickup location for items ordered via the IKEA online store or IKEA app.
