Internet Infinity, operator of the 'Care Management Online' website for 100,000 care managers, has conducted a survey on care managers' experiences regarding welfare equipment consultations.

Background Welfare equipment is essential for individuals requiring care. As needs diversify, equipment types and functions expand daily. This survey aimed to investigate why care managers often struggle to keep pace with these advancements.

Results (1) Difficulty with 'Excretion-Related' Equipment 50.1% cited 'automatic excretion processing devices' as the most difficult. Others included 'portable bathtubs' (45.4%), 'excretion support equipment' (41.7%), 'wandering detection sensors' (33.5%), and 'mobility lifts' (25.1%).

(2) Causes: Lack of 'Knowledge' and 'Experience' Approximately half attributed their difficulties to not knowing equipment details, lack of experience, or never having tried the devices.

(3) High Manufacturer Specification for 'Walkers' and 'Handrails' Over 70% of care managers specify manufacturers or product names for walkers, and nearly 70% do so for handrails.

(4) 'Usage Cases' are Most Needed 73.8% emphasized the need for usage cases. Other needs included 'introduction benefits' (58.5%) and 'product usage methods' (52.5%).
