■ About 'Uchu Nanchara Kotetsukun'
A collaborative project by Takara Tomy Arts, KADOKAWA, and studioUG. A TV anime based on a web manga by the highly popular creator Yuji Nishimura, who draws cute, humorous, and deeply human characters like 'Gokigen Panda' and 'Konezumi'.
Fifty years... and a little bit, since humanity landed on the moon. The story's protagonist, 'Kotetsu', dreams of becoming an astronaut and enrolls in the pilot course. In the same class are the elite 'Nico', 'Lou' who is researching rockets, 'Hikaru' who studies hospitality in space, and 'Otama' who aims to be the best chef in the universe. Set at the Space Academy, the story follows Kotetsu and his friends aiming for space. It aired on NHK E-Tele from April 2021 to March 2024 and is currently available on various streaming sites.
