Background
As the business use of AI agents rapidly expands within companies, cases where cross-border transfer of data associated with AI processing becomes an implementation challenge are increasing.
- Possibility that business data included in AI inference requests may be processed on servers in overseas regions. - Restrictions on overseas data transfer under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and internal information security policies. - Compliance requirements regarding data location when handling customer information and highly confidential business data.
Blaze has already adopted an architecture where it operates as a desktop application in the user's local environment, preventing authentication credentials and business data from being stored by the vendor. With the new Japan-Region-Only Mode, AI inference processing itself can now be limited to within Japan, fundamentally resolving concerns about cross-border data transfer.
Overview of Japan-Region-Only Mode
Administrators can enable Japan-Region-Only Mode from the Blaze management screen. When this mode is enabled, available AI models will be automatically restricted to only those hosted in Japan regions.
Feature 1 | AI Processing Completed Domestically
By simply operating from the management screen, administrators can limit AI processing for the entire organization to Japan regions. No complex settings or additional infrastructure construction are required.
Feature 2 | Automatic Restriction to Japan Region Models
When this mode is enabled, only models hosted in Japan regions will be displayed on the model selection screen. This eliminates the risk of users mistakenly selecting models from overseas regions.
Feature 3 | Maintains Existing User Experience
Enabling Japan-Region-Only Mode does not change how Blaze is operated or its functionalities. Only the scope of model selection is narrowed down to Japan regions, allowing all functions for building and operating business systems through conversation to be used as is.
Comment from CEO Takuma Ogura
"We have received many concerns from companies considering the introduction of AI agents regarding cross-border data transfer. With the Japan-Region-Only Mode, AI processing can now be confined within Japan. You can proceed with business transformation using AI agents with the peace of mind that business data will not go abroad."
