IDEATECH Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tomoo Ishikawa; hereinafter "the Company"), which has supported over 300 companies in research PR and content marketing, announces the launch of a joint proof-of-concept experiment with MEDIUM Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Shotaro Seki; hereinafter "MEDIUM") to enhance productivity and order conversion rates within corporate sales organizations. The initiative aims to implement the Company's proprietary sales methodology, "Content Sales®", using MEDIUM's sales AI agent and negotiation analysis tool, STRIX (STRIX).
In this proof-of-concept experiment, IDEATECH will build a "sales data infrastructure" by leveraging STRIX to structure and analyze negotiation logs. By integrating this with IDEATECH's accumulated content assets, the project aims to create a seamless system that supports the entire sales process—from analyzing negotiations and recommending content to executing follow-ups. The goal is to transform individualized sales activities into data-driven organizational assets, enabling reproducible sales processes and establishing "Content Sales®" as an industry standard.

In the AI Era, What Makes a Company Chosen Is Shifting from Products to Content
The rapid adoption of generative AI has dramatically increased the ease with which products can be replicated. As superior product features can now be quickly imitated and standardized, it is becoming increasingly difficult to remain consistently chosen based solely on visible functionality.
At the same time, buyers' decision-making behaviors are also changing. According to a survey conducted by the Company, "case studies from companies of similar size" (44.3%) ranked higher than "clear product functionality" (40.3%) as a criterion for selecting vendors. Furthermore, "providing valuable information" was ranked first (41.3%) as the most trusted behavior of a sales representative. Buyers are now choosing vendors not primarily based on features, but on tangible evidence of how effectively a vendor can solve their specific business challenges.

This shift indicates that the key differentiator between successful and unsuccessful sales organizations is no longer product strength itself, but rather the quality of "content" that can serve as a clue to solving customer challenges.
What Is "Content Sales®"?
In response to these changes, IDEATECH has developed its unique sales methodology: "Content Sales®".
"Content Sales®" shifts the focus of sales from "products" to "customer problem-solving." By delivering content—such as case studies, research reports, knowledge assets, and proposals—at the optimal moment as a problem-solving partner, each piece of content acts as a "digital salesperson" that advances negotiations.
The goal is to institutionalize, as an organizational system, the intricate "content network" that top-performing salespeople intuitively manage in their minds—transforming individual talent into scalable organizational capability. This represents IDEATECH's vision for the future of sales.
The Company has already implemented this approach internally. With a repository of 480 downloadable materials, IDEATECH has transformed from a company in 2021 where nearly 90% of sales were driven by executives, to one in 2023 where young employees with an average age of 24.3 now generate approximately 50% of sales.
However, further institutionalizing "Content Sales®" faces significant challenges: the over-reliance on individual top performers' intuition and experience ("individual dependency"); the limited impact of generative AI, which often only improves individual efficiency without elevating the entire organization; and the fragmentation of qualitative negotiation data across multiple tools, leading to "data silos" where information is not retained in SFA/CRM systems. Overcoming these barriers is essential to transform valuable content into a true organizational asset.
To address these challenges, IDEATECH has partnered with MEDIUM, the provider of STRIX—an AI sales agent specializing in structuring and analyzing negotiation logs—to launch this proof-of-concept experiment.
Overview of the Proof-of-Concept Experiment: Building a "Sales Data Infrastructure" to Turn Negotiations into Organizational Assets
The core of this experiment is transforming fragmented, individual-dependent negotiation data into a structured "sales data infrastructure" that can be leveraged across the organization.
1. Automatically structure and store qualitative negotiation data without manual input
By simply having STRIX attend sales meetings, qualitative negotiation details—previously scattered across individual memories and multiple tools—can be automatically structured and stored into SFA/CRM systems without any manual entry. This builds a searchable, analyzable "sales data infrastructure" across the organization while reducing reporting and documentation efforts to near zero.
2. Enable end-to-end support for "analysis → content recommendation → follow-up execution" on the data platform
AI analyzes the accumulated data across multiple negotiations to reveal previously invisible "winning patterns" and barriers to closing deals, enabling comprehensive deal evaluation. By combining these insights with IDEATECH's 480 content assets, the system supports the entire workflow—from recommending the next best content and generating draft thank-you emails to suggesting follow-up actions.
3. Operate seamlessly within existing business workflows
Specifically, STRIX integrates with Google Calendar to automatically join and record meetings, performing optimized analysis based on meeting type (e.g., first meeting, follow-up, discussion, onboarding). STRIX focuses on the sales side—capturing, structuring, and analyzing negotiation logs—while Pipedrive continues to be used for delivery management and customer success operations, enabling a smooth, phased transition without disrupting existing workflows.
Future Outlook: From Solving Frontline Challenges to Elevating Overall Sales Performance
IDEATECH aims to create a virtuous cycle that starts with solving frontline challenges and leads to improved performance across the entire sales organization.
Initially, STRIX reduces the burden of tasks like meeting minutes and reporting, making daily operations easier. In the process, high-quality negotiation data that was previously lost becomes naturally accumulated within the organization.
This accumulated data forms the foundation for AI-driven improvements across the sales team—such as replicating winning patterns and optimizing next actions. Starting with individual productivity gains, the system is designed so that as more data accumulates, the organization's overall order conversion rate and productivity will continuously improve. This is the vision IDEATECH and MEDIUM aim to achieve through this proof-of-concept.
Together, the two companies aim to realize a future where, after a sales conversation, meeting minutes are automatically summarized, draft thank-you emails are generated, the most relevant content is recommended, and follow-up schedules are automatically arranged. IDEATECH positions this initiative as the first step toward making "Content Sales®" an industry standard and will share the results in a three-part series:
Part 1: Background and Initial Implementation (already published)
Part 2: Results and Hypothesis Validation at 3–4 Months
Part 3: Summary and Expansion Beyond Year Two
Statements from Both Companies
Jinji Kyo, Managing Director, IDEATECH Inc.
"In the coming era, the difference between sales organizations that get chosen and those that don't may well come down to the quality of their content. We don't see this initiative as merely adopting a new tool, but as a collaborative project to co-create something new. The clear division of roles—STRIX handling deep sales actions and Pipedrive managing quantitative data and customer relationships—gives us the sense that we're finally building a tangible foundation to manage and execute authentic, human-centered sales activities at an organizational level."
Shotaro Seki, Representative, MEDIUM Inc.
"When I first heard Mr. Kyo's vision for Content Sales, I thought, 'This is exactly what we've been aiming for.' By combining IDEATECH's structured content assets with STRIX's ability to structure and analyze negotiation logs, we can create a seamless loop from 'analysis → content recommendation → follow-up execution.' We intend to make this proof-of-concept the first step toward establishing Content Sales as an industry standard."
