Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel to Offer Premium Shaved Ice Featuring Luxurious Crown Melon and Peach in 2026

The Lounge & Bar "Marine Blue" at Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel (1-1-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) will offer two types of fruit-themed premium shaved ice, "Crown Melon" from Monday, June 1, 2026, and "Peach" from Wednesday, July 1, 2026, until Monday, August 31, 2026.

This year's shaved ice at our hotel features two types of "premium" shaved ice, as the name suggests, luxuriously using juicy, sweet, and fragrant melon, and sweet, melting peach.

The ice used is "Junpyo" (pure ice), carefully frozen over 48 hours from deep natural water drawn from deep underground in Shinshu. Because it contains few impurities, it has no off-flavors and highlights the natural flavor of the ingredients, making it an exquisite shaved ice that allows you to fully enjoy the deliciousness of each fruit.

Premium Shaved Ice "Crown Melon"

The "Crown Melon," available from June, is a luxurious shaved ice using Shizuoka Crown Melon, also known as the "King of Muskmelons." Inside the shaved ice made from Shinshu's pure ice, milky homemade vanilla ice cream, melon pulp, and nata de coco are enclosed, and then generously topped with homemade Crown Melon syrup.

This is a premium dish for adults, allowing you to fully enjoy the rich aroma and sweetness of Crown Melon, cultivated using the "Ichiboku Ikka"* method.

*A method of cultivating only one fruit per tree to concentrate nutrients.

Premium Shaved Ice "Peach"

The "Peach," available from July, is this year's new creation.

Shaved ice generously topped with a melting fresh cream sauce with condensed milk and diced peach pulp, then crowned with "Pêche," an exquisite dessert made by whole-compoting a large peach and filling it with rich diplomat cream.

Inside the ice, topped with fresh peach syrup and mellow milk syrup, hides a refreshing sour yogurt ice cream that pairs well with the sweetness of the peach.

This is a limited-quantity special shaved ice, made only during the season when peaches are at their most delicious.
