On Friday, June 19, 2026, in Osaka, Japan: InterContinental Osaka (located in Kita-ku, Osaka; General Manager: Jerome Parachol) will support the 'Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum | KAGAMI+' event held at VS. (V-S), launching a special overnight stay package that allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the music of Ryuichi Sakamoto. Only one room is available per day.

This stay package includes two RED tickets (for two guests per night) to the 'Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum | KAGAMI+' exhibition, ensuring a complete and unforgettable experience. Additionally, the guest room has been specially equipped with audio devices used in Sakamoto's installations and listening events, creating a unique space designed for deep engagement with his musical universe.

The room features the BWV 'H-3 Medium 3-Way System' speakers—selected to match the room’s acoustics—used in '109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku,' where Sakamoto served as sound supervisor. It also includes the REVOX T700 turntable, used in past analog listening events, allowing guests to enjoy meticulously refined sound quality in a private setting.

After check-in, guests can experience 'Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum | KAGAMI+' and immediately enjoy the exclusive EP record provided as a venue gift within the comfort of their room. A curated collection of Sakamoto’s past analog records, including rare and hard-to-find titles, will also be available. Additionally, a selection of his published books will be provided, allowing guests to engage not only with his music but also with his words and philosophical ideas.

As a welcome amenity, the room will feature 'Tsuki o Kiku' (Listening to the Moon), a special tea blend from EN TEA, a brand cherished by Sakamoto, allowing guests to relax and unwind from the moment of arrival.

Guests can relax on the sofa, immerse themselves in high-fidelity sound, and enjoy views of Osaka—a uniquely special experience offered only through this package. The room, configured with two single beds, is ideal for friends or family, making it suitable for a variety of occasions.

About 'Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum | KAGAMI+'

'KAGAMI' is a collaborative project conceived and produced over the final four years of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s life, together with Tin Drum led by Todd Eckert. Since its world premiere in 2023 at The Shed in New York, it has been presented in London, Manchester, Taipei, Singapore, Melbourne, Italy, Hong Kong, and other global cities, receiving widespread acclaim. In this production, audiences wear transparent headsets to experience a three-dimensional digital recreation of Sakamoto’s presence. His performance at the grand piano unfolds in space with immersive 3D visuals synchronized to the music, enabling an intimacy with the performance unattainable in live concerts.

Beyond visuals, photographs, and text, the venue also features custom-blended scents created by Sakamoto himself, crafting a multi-sensory experience. The UK’s The Guardian described the work as a 'magical experience.'

'Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum | KAGAMI+' is a special expanded version of 'KAGAMI,' presented for the first time in Japan. Tailored to the VS. space with new staging and exhibits, it offers a multidimensional experience of Sakamoto’s sound and time, including multiple works such as 'TIME, TIME.'

Tickets are available in two types: RED and BLUE. The RED ticket included in this stay package grants access to the full version of 'KAGAMI (MR Content)' (approximately 60 minutes) and includes an exclusive 7-inch analog record featuring music from KAGAMI, available only to attendees. The BLUE ticket offers a shorter, 30-minute 'KAGAMI (MR Content)' experience, ideal for brief visits.
