### About Ms. Michiko Hayashi
Graduated from Tokyo College of Music, Vocal Performance Course. Completed the 1st term of the New National Theatre Opera Studio. Studied in Munich as an overseas trainee under the Agency for Cultural Affairs' artist dispatch program. Won the highest prize at the International Mitropoulos Vocal Competition in 2003. Received the 5th Hotel Okura Music Award.
She has appeared in numerous operas, mainly with the Nikikai and the New National Theatre. In 2015, she demonstrated outstanding singing and exceptional presence by taking on her first roles as Argene in 'L'Olimpiade' at Kioi Hall and Donna Elvira in 'Don Giovanni' at the Nissay Theatre.
She has repeatedly co-starred with domestic and international conductors such as Myung-Whun Chung and Paavo Järvi, and major orchestras. She also acts widely as a top-class mezzo-soprano in both popularity and ability, producing Mozart's Da Ponte trilogy operas 'Così fan tutte,' 'The Marriage of Figaro,' and 'Don Giovanni' herself.
Her CDs include 'Red and Black,' 'The Earth is Round ~ Toru Takemitsu: SONGS,' and 'Belle Excentrique.
