Our company is a "sustainable infrastructure company" that supports people's rich lives. "Ichigo Potager Co., Ltd." is an agricultural corporation established by Miyako City in August 2023, aiming for full-scale entry into agricultural production. We have been active in Miyazaki City, striving to create a system that supports sustainable agriculture. We are pleased to announce that we have started pre-orders for our summer gift sets of lychees and mangoes, which will be harvested in July. These are rare domestically grown fruits, carefully cultivated using organic fertilizers from Miyazaki Prefecture. Please consider these perfectly ripe fruits, with their unique aroma and juicy taste, as a summer gift for your loved ones. If you order in May, you can use a 20% off coupon.

Miyazaki Prefecture is blessed with a warm climate all year round and boasts one of the highest amounts of sunshine in Japan.

Since its full-scale entry into agricultural production, Ichigo Potager has expanded various initiatives, focusing on strawberries, but also cultivating and directly selling rare domestic fruits such as lychees, mangoes, and bananas, as well as domestic pepper. Furthermore, we are involved in product development, cafes, and agritourism. In our production business, we are working to create a sustainable agricultural production system by combining summer and winter harvest crops.

Now, as our summer harvest crops, lychees and mangoes, which have been nurtured by the abundant sunshine of Miyazaki, approach their peak harvest season in July, we have begun pre-orders for our summer gifts.

Ichigo Potager is committed to "circular agriculture," which involves utilizing unused resources as homemade fertilizers for agriculture and minimizing and effectively utilizing waste generated at production sites. With this philosophy, our product names are "Meguri Mango" and "Meguri Lychee." Please take this opportunity to enjoy these fresh and aromatic fruits, grown in Miyazaki Prefecture, known as the "sunshine land of Japan."

Commitment to Organic Fertilizers

Ichigo Potager is committed to cultivation using original organic fertilizers that utilize local resources. For example, we receive bonito flakes from soba restaurants and kelp dashi residue from sushi restaurants in Miyazaki City, which we utilize as organic fertilizers. Furthermore, we are working on regional circulation by utilizing unused resources such as bamboo fermented fertilizer and rice bran.

Comment from Saori Taguchi, Representative Director and President of Ichigo Potager Co., Ltd.

I am truly delighted that we can safely start selling lychees and mangoes again this year and deliver the blessings of Miyazaki to everyone through our online shop. I sincerely thank everyone who has supported us in various ways.

Our agriculture is supported by the cooperation of many people. Restaurants that agree to our homemade organic fertilizer production and provide materials, local businesses that deliver good soil, and producers who grow healthy seedlings. By circulating regional power, a foundation for sustainable agriculture is being built. As the global situation becomes increasingly unstable, I strongly feel anew the importance of continuously producing domestic crops stably.

Our goal is to first establish the sustainability of our own farm and then expand it to create a system for the sustainability of agriculture throughout the region. We aim to enhance the sustainability of Miyazaki City through the construction of sustainable infrastructure in agriculture, including production systems that reduce environmental impact, circulation of local resources, and nurturing the next generation of farmers.

Lychees and mangoes will soon be in season. It is a joy unique to this season to be able to taste these precious fresh fruits, which have a short harvest period and whose freshness is paramount.
