H.C. Tochigi Nikko Ice Bucks is pleased to announce the signing of player Michihito Kyoja.

After graduating from Shimizu High School, Kyoja attended Meiji University before joining the Tohoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey, where he played for six seasons. He also represented Japan internationally as a member of the U-18 and U-20 Japanese national teams, accumulating rich experience on the global stage.

Kyoja is a mobile and dynamic defenseman who actively participates in offensive plays. He excels at carrying the puck forward and initiating attacks with precise passing. His exceptional skating ability and situational awareness allow him to transition quickly between defense and offense, consistently creating scoring opportunities.

Notably, Michihito Kyoja is a relative of the late Takahiko Kyoja, who was posthumously awarded the 'Distinguished Service Award' during the club's 100th-anniversary commemoration last season.
