iQPS Signs New Contract with US-based Rocket Lab for the Launch of Three Small SAR Satellites

iQPS Inc. (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City; Representative Director and CEO: Shunsuke Onishi, hereinafter "iQPS"), a developer, manufacturer, and operator of world-class small SAR (*1) satellites, announces that it has signed a new contract with Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (hereinafter "Rocket Lab") to launch three additional small SAR satellites, "QPS-SAR". Combined with the existing contract, a total of eight QPS-SAR satellites will be launched by Rocket Lab's Electron rockets in the future. They will be launched one by one, with the next launch scheduled for May or later. As the launch schedule will be determined in coordination with other rocket companies, individual launch schedules will be announced as soon as the satellites to be launched are decided for each rocket. (*1) SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar): A radar that uses radio waves to obtain images of the Earth's surface.
