Hyundai N Achieves 6th Consecutive TCR Class Victory at 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours

- Hyundai N achieved its 11th consecutive appearance and 6th consecutive TCR class victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race with the ELANTRA N TCR.

- Two ELANTRA N1 RP cars equipped with new prototype engines completed the grueling 24-hour race in the SP4T class.

- Hyundai N's junior drivers (from South Korea and the US) demonstrated their abilities on what is considered the world's most demanding circuit.

Hyundai Motor Company's high-performance brand, "Hyundai N", secured its 6th consecutive victory in the TCR class at the 2026 ADAC RAVENOL 24H Nürburgring endurance race held on May 16-17.

Hyundai has participated in this grueling race for 11 consecutive years, this time entering one ELANTRA N TCR in the TCR class and two ELANTRA N1 RP cars in the SP4T class. The race, held at the iconic German circuit, once again demonstrated Hyundai's prowess in motorsport and served as a significant opportunity to achieve major results in the development and validation of the next-generation powertrain for the ELANTRA N1 RP.

Regarding this victory, Joon Park, Vice President of N Brand Management Group at Hyundai Motor Company, stated the following:

Taking the wheel of the ELANTRA N TCR were highly experienced, elite European drivers who have previously contributed to victories in the same class. Amidst fierce competition, they demonstrated outstanding durability and overwhelming speed, achieving the remarkable feat of a 6th consecutive TCR class win.

This lineup formed a powerful roster that combined veterans with class-winning experience and rising young talents selected from Hyundai's driver pool. Taking the seats were Marc Basseng, Manuel Lauck, and Mikel Azcona, who together boast a total of 10 TCR class victories at the Nürburgring 24 Hours for Hyundai Motorsport (with Basseng being the overall winner in 2012). Joining them was Nico Bastian, who has extensive experience at the Nürburgring, including five overall top-10 finishes in the race with GT3 machines.

Beyond dominating the TCR category, the ELANTRA N TCR also secured a strong 69th place overall finish. This further solidified Hyundai N's reputation in developing high-performance cars capable of competing against top-tier endurance racing vehicles, including machines from higher classes.
