Hyotan Onsen (operated by Younet Co., Ltd.), a hot spring facility in Kannawa, Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, offering 100% pure source hot spring water, will provide "Shio Koji Cider" free of charge to customers using the Sunayu (sand bath) for a limited time from July 1 to July 31, 2026. Two types are available: "Shio Koji Lemon Cider" and "Shio Koji Plum Cider." Enjoy a refreshing drink that replenishes salt and fluids after sweating profusely in the sand bath, as a special summer service.

■ A Free Drink After Your Sand Bath

The Sunayu is a bathing method where you bury your body in heated sand, characterized by profuse sweating from the entire body. At Hyotan Onsen, to help replenish salt and fluids after sweating, we offer two types of cider made with shio koji (fermented rice malt and salt) free to Sunayu users. It's the perfect drink to enjoy after a summer sand bath, combining the gentle saltiness of shio koji, a fermented seasoning, with the refreshing flavors of lemon and plum.

Shio Koji Lemon Cider: A blend of the mellow saltiness of shio koji and the refreshing tartness of lemon.

Shio Koji Plum Cider: A summery drink combining shio Koji with the clean flavor of plum.
