Hyotan Onsen (operated by UNET Co., Ltd.), a 100% natural source free-flowing hot spring in Kannawa, Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, will extend its service offering 'Yonaki Soba' for 100 yen per bowl after bathing until June 28, 2026, due to its popularity. The service is limited to one hour daily from 22:00 to 23:00. This initiative, unique to the facility which is open until 1:00 AM (last admission at midnight), encourages a way to spend the night in Beppu by having a bowl after entering the hot spring.

■ Background: Why 'Yonaki Soba'?

Yonaki soba is a Japanese hospitality culture of inns serving a warm bowl of noodles at night. Hyotan Onsen is open until midnight (last admission) and 1:00 AM the next day, with many customers stopping by after work or as a finale to their sightseeing. The aim was to expand the experience from 'just taking a bath and going home' to 'spending a relaxing evening' by adding a light, warm bowl for an affordable 100 yen to the post-bath body.
