The offerings include the "Melon Afternoon Tea" and three seasonal fruit cocktails that herald the early arrival of summer.

Melon Afternoon Tea

The "Melon Afternoon Tea," available from Friday, May 1, 2026, to Tuesday, June 30, 2026, is a limited-time offering that expresses the refreshing and cool essence of early summer with its vibrant green hues and the luxurious use of melons, characterized by their juicy freshness, tender flesh, and crisp sweetness.

The welcome drink is "MELON COCO." This drink combines the rich aroma of melon with the gentle sweetness of coconut, creating a tropical flavor reminiscent of a southern island. By blending red-fleshed melon puree with blue-fleshed melon syrup, we bring out the rich flavors of each. Non-alcoholic sparkling wine is added to provide a light texture and an elegant effervescence. With the first sip, a gentle melon aroma wafts through, evoking the arrival of early summer and leaving a refreshing, pleasant aftertaste that heightens anticipation for the afternoon tea to come.

The sweets, meticulously crafted to maximize the appeal of melons while preserving their fresh taste, consist of a total of 8 varieties.

Top Tier

The "Melon and Biwa Parfait," with its beautiful contrast of green and white, is the most refreshing glass dessert in this lineup. It features juicy melon pieces and a mint-infused soup layered over almond jelly. Honey jelly is added as an accent, allowing guests to adjust the sweetness to their preference.

The "Melon and Yogurt Mousse" carefully expresses the color and flavor of melon using "Opalys," a white chocolate from the French manufacturer Valrhona, known for its clean sweetness. Concentrated melon juice is hidden within the mousse for an enhanced flavor. The interior has a two-layer structure of yogurt and raspberry, with a moderate acidity that further enhances the sweetness of the melon. A basil biscuit is placed at the bottom layer as a refreshing aromatic accent, creating a memorable lingering taste with the subtle scent of basil.

Middle Tier

The "Crown Melon and Coconut Tatin" is a mille-feuille-style creation layered with thinly sliced Crown melon and melon cream. Coconut dacquoise forms the base, and coconut is also used in the top cream, giving it a tropical nuance.

Additionally, the scones feature "Fig Scones" with added fig confit. The deep, rich flavor unique to figs and the crunchy texture of the seeds provide a satisfying finish.

Freshly Baked Melon Pan

Furthermore, the "Freshly Baked Melon Pan" is a delicacy best enjoyed warm and freshly made. It harmonizes the gentle sweetness of the dough, made with the hotel's original bread "nikin," with the crisp cookie crust on the outside. Staff will deliver it hot from the oven.

Bottom Tier

The savories include three types that balance salty and sour flavors, complementing the sweetness of the desserts, while incorporating seasonal ingredients.

The "Swordfish Kecap Green Mini Burger" features a crispy fried swordfish fillet with a tender interior, served with a fresh tomato and basil kecap sauce for a light taste.

The "Tapenade Shirasu Broad Bean Quiche" luxuriously uses seasonal whitebait and broad beans. The tapenade, seasoned with the saltiness of olives and anchovies, provides a unifying flavor. Despite its rich taste, it is not heavy and serves as a pleasant accent between the sweet dishes.

The "Prosciutto Rhubarb Feta Mango Ensemble" combines tart rhubarb compote with salty feta cheese and prosciutto, along with sweet mango. Each ingredient's individuality is highlighted while achieving harmony. Gastrique is used to create a complex flavor profile with a blend of acidity and subtle bitterness.
