At this summit, companies, developers, and investors from the US, Europe, and Asia will gather to conduct live demonstrations of humanoids. Additionally, special sessions will discuss critical themes such as commercialization, mass production, and capital allocation. Over 40 speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors from Japan and abroad have already confirmed their participation.
Professor Hiroshi Ishiguro (Osaka University), a leading expert in robot research, will deliver the opening keynote. He plans to conduct a live demonstration using his humanoid avatar, 'Geminoid.' Furthermore, top executives from world-leading AI and robotics companies, including Google DeepMind, are scheduled to speak.
Why Tokyo, Japan for the first 'Humanoids Summit' in Asia? Japan has long established its position as a global leader in the field of robotics. In recent years, investment in automation has accelerated to address structural challenges such as labor shortages and demographic changes. Given this background, and as the social implementation of humanoid robots becomes a reality, Japan—with its strong research and development capabilities and industrial base—and its center, Tokyo, were chosen as the stage for global discussion.
Live demonstrations to experience the forefront of humanoid robots The summit will feature live demonstrations of operational humanoid robots. Through these sessions, you can witness the forefront of how these technologies are evolving in real-world environments. Key themes include: Strategies for commercialization and deployment, Manufacturing scale and supply chains, Capital allocation and venture investment, and Advances in world models and spatial AI. Additionally, safety will be a key topic, with Cooley LLP providing insights on regulatory frameworks and McKinsey & Company offering an analyst's perspective on the global market landscape.
