Human Forum Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City; Chairman and Representative Director: Masaaki Ideji), which operates the apparel business, and its shop "mumokuteki," which handles cafes, apparel, and miscellaneous goods primarily in Kyoto, has planned and manufactured a "T-shirt Fair" commercializing printed T-shirts featuring artworks by people with disabilities, as part of Kyoto City's "Heart Friends Project Promotion Project."

■ Background

Kyoto City's "Heart Friends Project Promotion Project" supports an increase in wages and social connections for people with disabilities through the sale of "Heartfelt Heart Products" made at disability employment support facilities within the city.

For the fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8) "Heart Friends Project Promotion Project," the operation was commissioned to "mumokuteki," a brand of Human Forum Co., Ltd.

Now in its 5th year, the T-shirt fair has commercialized artwork submitted from registered facilities within Kyoto City.

Through this initiative, the company aims to support facilities in creating better work, providing a reference framework for product planning, manufacturing, and sales. Additionally, a portion of the sales revenue will be paid as royalties to the facilities that provided the artwork.

Manufacturing is handled by JAMMIN, a charity-focused fashion brand originating from Kyoto.

Atelier Yoohoo!! conducts creative activities at Kyoto City Fushimi Gakuen (a daily living care facility) attended by people with intellectual disabilities. The activity began in 2008 as a place for therapeutic creative activities for individuals who find light work challenging. They support creative activities that leverage each person's strengths and characteristics, expanding their scope of activities by exhibiting at domestic and international exhibitions. They create exhibition opportunities to connect participants with society through art displays and deepen understanding of people with disabilities.

NPO Corporation Kyoto Intractable Disease Support Passione

NPO Corporation Kyoto Intractable Disease Support Passione was established to provide employment support aimed at social and economic independence, primarily for people with intractable diseases who cannot obtain a disability certificate. Rakusai Fureai no Sato Production Facility opened in June 1989 as a commuting production facility providing a workplace for people with intellectual disabilities. As a place for work that brings joy and purpose, they primarily engaged in cleaning and pottery. In November 2011, based on the Services and Supports for Persons with Disabilities Act, it transitioned to a "Daily Living Care Facility" focusing on production activities. Hanamizuki

Hanamizuki operates three main services: employment transition support, retention support, and Type B continuous employment support. In employment transition support, they enhance job readiness by repeatedly putting into practice what is learned in study sessions and daily training through Cafe Hanamizuki, off-site work (cleaning), and subcontract work. In Type B continuous employment, they engage in Saori weaving, stencil art, off-site work (cleaning), and subcontract work.
