The shop "mumokuteki," which is operated by apparel company Human Forum Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto; Chairman and CEO: Masaaki Dero) and handles cafes, apparel, and miscellaneous goods, was commissioned by a Type-B continuous employment support facility operated by Social Welfare Corporation Seiboukan (Location: Minami-ku, Kyoto; Chairman: Kunio Obata) as part of Kyoto City's "Heart Friends Project Promotion Business," and has supported the product development for the marble art brand "Awai Marble KYOTO."

■ "Awai Marble KYOTO" Concept

~Marble art that hopes for a future where joy melts together, nurtured by "Awai" (mutual laughter)~

Awai Marble KYOTO is a brand that wishes for a future of "Awai" (mutual laughter), where the hearts of the creator and the user melt together, just like colors melting in a marble pattern. Our products are made by members of a Type-B facility, who transfer the marble patterns one by one with great care. The faint colors that melt into a single pattern are a sign of the "mutual laughter" we created while having fun. When you touch our marble art, our joy will also gently melt into your daily life. We hope that the boundaries between people with and without disabilities will also gently melt away like this marble pattern. Awai Marble KYOTO connects smiles from hand to hand. We deliver a warm "Awai" (mutual laughter) daily life into your home.

■ [Background/Process]

The "Heart Friends Project Promotion Business" proposed by Kyoto City supports an increase in wages and social connections for people with disabilities through the sale of "Hot Heart Products" made by them at employment support facilities in Kyoto City. The "mumokuteki" brand of Human Forum Co., Ltd. was entrusted with the operation of this project for the 2025 fiscal year. As an experiment, they started "Hot Heart Lab," a support service that provides assistance with the product development of Hot Heart Products for registered facilities.
