Maihama View Hotel by HULIC, located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture and operated by Hulic Hotel Management Co., Ltd., will host a limited three-day children’s program, “Kids Chef: Roll Cake Making Experience & Table Manners Class with Lunch,” on July 30, August 6, and August 20, 2026. The hands-on event combines a roll cake workshop led by the hotel’s pastry chefs with a gentle table manners lesson enjoyed over lunch. Children will try each step of making a fruit roll cake, including spreading cream over a moist sponge, adding fruit, and rolling it up. Even steps that require a little technique will be carefully explained by the pastry chefs, allowing first-time participants to join with confidence. Toward the end of the cake-making session, children can freely decorate a plate using chocolate pens, drawing illustrations or writing their names to complete a one-of-a-kind cake plate. During lunch, a children’s table manners class will be held, offering a fun and approachable way to learn dining etiquette and naturally develop both knowledge and practical skills. At the end of lunch, participants can enjoy the roll cake they made themselves, or take it home as a souvenir. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, a recipe, and a chef’s hat, allowing them to continue enjoying the experience at home. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The parent-child roll cake workshop begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the table manners class from 12:45 p.m. A teatime with the handmade dessert will be held toward the end of lunch. The fee is 10,000 yen per group, covering one adult and one child. Additional participants are charged 5,000 yen per adult aged 13 or older and 3,000 yen per child aged 4 to 12. An additional roll cake costs 2,500 yen. Up to three people may participate per group. Reservations are accepted through the official website until three days before the date of use. The adult lunch menu includes Mediterranean-style summer vegetable salad, chilled corn potage, roasted young chicken thigh Provence-style, and bread.
