HubSpot Japan K.K. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter 'HubSpot'), provider of the AI-powered Agentic Customer Platform, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hiroya Isa as Country Manager, effective April 1, 2026. Through gathering insights from the Japanese market and promoting partner collaborations, we will further strengthen our support for the growth of Japanese companies.
(*) Agentic Customer Platform: A platform that centralizes customer data and company-specific context, enabling humans and AI to collaborate on marketing, sales, and customer service.
New Country Manager Isa views the evolution of AI as 'an opportunity for companies to design and practice growth strategies centered on customer success' and will lead the Japanese business based on three priority areas.
First, he will actively communicate the potential and needs of the Japanese market to the U.S. headquarters, accelerating investments to make the Agentic Customer Platform more widely recognized and easier for Japanese companies to use. Simultaneously, he will deepen ties with existing partners and promote collaborations with new ones to build an ecosystem that supports companies with diverse needs.
Second, with the common goal of improving the quality of customer experience, he will establish a growth model in the Japanese market where marketing, sales, and customer service work in tandem. While introducing the latest global trends and frameworks, he will also respect the relationships, trust, and business customs that Japanese companies have long valued, growing this model together with them.
Third, HubSpot Japan itself will practice AI utilization, cross-departmental collaboration, and the creation of a rewarding workplace. We will actively share the insights, learnings, and trial-and-error experiences gained during this process with Japanese companies.
Profile of Hiroya Isa He has been engaged in marketing for over 25 years at global companies such as DELL Computer, Google, and Sony. He has been involved in sales promotion strategies for both global and Japanese markets, bridging different business cultures and organizations. Later, as an executive at freee and Rapyuta Robotics, he was responsible for fostering corporate culture, organizational development, and business expansion during periods of rapid growth. His experience across various growth phases serves as a foundation for leading businesses from both strategic planning and execution perspectives, understanding both the agility of startups and the organizational know-how of large corporations.
After joining HubSpot Japan in 2018 as Co-General Manager and Senior Marketing Director, he oversaw the sales organization as Acting Country Manager in 2023. Over the eight years since joining, as HubSpot's product evolved from a 'marketing tool' to a 'CRM platform' and now to an 'Agentic Customer Platform,' he has consistently focused on proposals and growth support for Japanese companies. Based on these experiences, he was appointed Country Manager on April 1, 2026.
Comment from Hiroya Isa, Country Manager, HubSpot Japan K.K. 'For the eight years since joining HubSpot, I have consistently faced the question: "How can Japanese companies achieve sustainable growth centered on customer success?" In an era where many tasks are automated by AI, humans are required to understand customer situations and wishes more than ever, and to contribute to their long-term success. From the perspective of someone who has experienced both the rapid technological evolution at the global level and the unique way of doing business in Japan, I will shape the "Grow Better" approach rooted in Japan together with our customers and partners. By accumulating practices to improve the quality of customer experience through the collaboration of our own marketing, sales, and service departments, and sharing the lessons learned, we will support the growth of Japanese companies.'
(**) Essential growth where sellers, buyers, and employees can all enjoy sustainable benefits, rather than superficial growth that only pursues numbers. HubSpot has a global mission: 'Help millions of organizations grow better.'
Comment from Jon Dick, Chief Customer Officer, HubSpot (U.S. Headquarters) 'For HubSpot, Japan is a very important market. We always prioritize what is best for the customer and deliver value that leads to user success. To achieve this, we need a leader who deeply understands the market and can steer daily strategies with high agility. Based on my eight years of working with Isa, I am confident that he will demonstrate such leadership and further strengthen the collaboration between our global headquarters and the Japanese subsidiary. HubSpot will continue to contribute so that Japanese users can steadily grow their businesses even in an era of intense change, including the evolution of AI.'
