Kichijo CAREN (Higashi-Izu, Shizuoka; General Manager: Naohiro Nakata), overlooking the morning sun rising over the sea from a hilltop in Higashi-Izu's Kitagawa Onsen, will offer an accommodation plan with round-trip transportation to the local event 'Firefly Viewing Evening' held at 'Okawa Takegasawa Park' for 10 days from May 29 (Fri) to June 7 (Sun), 2026.

**Firefly Tour by a Clear Stream**

Okawa Takegasawa Park in Higashi-Izu, where the 'Firefly Viewing Evening' is held, has water so clear it was selected as one of 'Shizuoka's 100 Waterside Spots,' providing a precious environment where fireflies can live. Every year, the fireflies are carefully raised by local people, and in the spring, as many as 5,000 firefly larvae are released.

**To protect the fireflies' habitat, you cannot go by private car.**

Private cars cannot be parked at the venue to protect the natural environment. Kichijo CAREN will provide free shuttle service to the venue (approx. 5 minutes). Dinner will start at 17:30 to be in time for the event.

Okawa Takegasawa Park is selected as one of 'Shizuoka's 100 Waterside Spots.' The light of the fireflies reflects on the pond's surface, creating a magical scene. Also, for the fireflies who dislike artificial light, one lantern will be lent per group at the entrance. Let's walk in the dark with a lantern in hand, searching for fireflies.

At the venue, there is a 'Firefly Market' with local specialties like wasabi and mandarin oranges, bustling with fun lotteries and more.

This year, on weekdays during the period, visitors in yukata will receive one bottle of 'Moon Road Craft Beer' per person. It's also lovely to go out dressed in a colored yukata chosen from Kichijo CAREN (approx. 40 types for women / 25 for men).

If it is raining at check-in, you will receive a 1,000 yen voucher for use within the hotel per room. It can be used for payment for tea pairing, wine pairing, or sparkling sake to enjoy with dinner at the restaurant, or for the minibar in your room.
