■ Kaga Onsenkyo "Yamanaka Onsen"

One of the Kaga Four Hot Springs. Yamanaka Onsen, founded 1300 years ago, was praised by the haiku master Matsuo Basho as one of the three famous hot springs of Fusou (Japan), along with Kusatsu and Arima. The 1.3km promenade of "Kakusenkei Gorge," the all-cypress "Koorogi Bridge" dating back to the Edo period, and the riverbed (April-November) are full of charm.

Traditional cultures such as Yamanaka lacquerware and Kutani ware thrive here, and you can enjoy strolling around the town, centered on the public hot spring "Soyu," throughout the four seasons. Natadera Temple, associated with the Kaga Maeda family, Eiheiji Temple, the head temple of the Soto Zen sect, Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, and Kanazawa are all within an hour's drive. With the extension of the "Hokuriku Shinkansen" in March 2024, access has improved, connecting Kaga Onsen Station directly from Tokyo Station without transfers.

A Kaga-conscious hot spring inn along the scenic Kakusenkei Gorge. You can enjoy the fresh greenery, deep greenery, autumn leaves, and snowy landscapes.
