HP Renew Energy Launches National Development Project for Low-Voltage Grid Storage Power Plants

HP Renew Energy Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "the Company") is officially launching a nationwide development project for "low-voltage grid storage power plants," which will serve as distributed energy infrastructure, with an eye towards making renewable energy a primary power source and stabilizing the power grid.

In this project, the Company plans to develop 210 sections annually (equivalent to a total of 10MW) and anticipates sales starting from 17.5 million yen per section.

Concurrently, the Company is continuously recruiting "landowners interested in selling land" from across the country to promote this plan.

**■ Project Background**

Towards the realization of a decarbonized society, while the introduction of fluctuating renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power is rapidly progressing, new challenges have emerged, including the stabilization of the power grid, supply and demand adjustment, and self-consumption/local production-for-local-consumption of renewable energy. Low-voltage grid storage power plants are attracting attention as a small-scale, distributed, and low-cost solution to these challenges. The market is also expected to expand as an investment target that can yield stable profits over the medium to long term.

Furthermore, grid storage power plants are broadly classified into "high-voltage storage power plants" and "low-voltage storage power plants" depending on the voltage band of the connected distribution network. While "high-voltage storage power plants" contribute to the stabilization of the entire grid as large-scale, centralized storage infrastructure, "low-voltage storage power plants" are characterized by their ability to enable agile development and small-lot ownership as a small-scale, distributed solution.

This project aims to create a flexible business scheme that maximizes stable profits based on long-term ownership, portfolio diversification effects, and the strengths of various collaborating partners, by combining the Company's development, construction, and operation know-how with a revenue model driven by a new market environment, all while mitigating risks.

**■ Concurrent Recruitment for Project Promotion**

For the nationwide expansion of this project, we are continuously recruiting landowners interested in selling land, those who only wish for power application services, and those who only wish for design and construction services. Region and scale are not an issue.

* **Recruitment: Landowners interested in selling land** — For landowners and corporations considering selling land suitable for the construction of low-voltage storage power plants (developed land/undeveloped land/idle land, etc.).
* **Contracting: Power application services only** — We also accept contracts for power application services alone, for businesses considering in-house development of low-voltage storage power plants, who wish to outsource only the connection application to power companies (from preliminary consultation to formal application).
* **Contracting: Design and construction services only** — For businesses that have already proceeded with land acquisition and power application, and wish to outsource only the design, electrical work, and installation construction.

In addition, consultations regarding O&M (operation and maintenance) and a wide range of inquiries regarding low-voltage and high-voltage grid storage power plant businesses are welcome.

The Company designates FY2026 as the "year for the full-scale launch of the low-voltage grid storage power plant business" and will continuously promote development at a pace of 210 sections per year.
