About "Atsugiri Tonkatsu Yoshiei"

A long-established tonkatsu specialty restaurant founded in 1933, originating in Wakayama Prefecture. We use "aged loin" and "aged fillet," which condense the natural umami of the meat by aging carefully selected Sangen pork, and maximize its satisfying texture. Each piece is coated with "coarsely ground raw panko" made with premium flour and slowly fried in "light rice oil" after an order is received, resulting in a fluffy and crispy coating. This achieves a exquisite balance with the juicy flavor of the pork. Our "thick-cut tonkatsu," packed with the techniques of a specialty restaurant, is a masterpiece loved by generations.

Three types of fluffy, freshly cooked kamado rice - "as much as you like"

To be enjoyed with tonkatsu is "Daikamado Gohan" (large kamado rice), cooked in a large kamado in the restaurant. We serve freshly cooked "Niigata Koshihikari" rice, milled in-house every morning. Depending on the cooking time, we may even bring the entire large kamado to your table.

In addition to white rice, we also offer "Jukokumai" (ten-grain rice) and "Monthly Takikomi Gohan" (braised rice - eel in July), all of which can be refilled for free, so you can enjoy them to your heart's content!
